Good Morning Fellow Stampers !
TGIF!! And for me, the start of a short little 5-day vacation away with my Mother in Vail, Colorado. We plan to relax, enjoy the beautiful mountains, turning Aspen leaves, and spend time working on the Heritage Album that was started several years ago (and I've shared pics of from time-to-time here). We hope to make some significant progress on this project that has been stretching out for some time now -- LOL. Mom in particular is concerned about getting through this before too much longer; I think her age is weighing on her. So it should be a nice time away; a chance for me to get some much needed rest and try to heal from my oral and sinus issues and hopefully figure out how to avoid sinus surgery. But don't worry!! I will not be too far away. I'll be popping in to check on you!
It's Mojo Monday [MOJO467] challenge time once again. You can't do Halloween everyday (LOL), so I decided we needed a nice little Autumn Fox and a special a little thank you card. Sweet and Simple is what I call this design today . . .
Doggone Delightful Stampin' Design Tips:
- Layerothology. This sweet little card is created from a base of Thick Whisper White cardstock, 4 1/2" x 5 1/2", scored at 4 1/4" - a top fold horizontal card. The background layers are created from Crushed Curry, Whisper White, and a piece of Petals & Paisleys Specialty Designer Series Paper. I wrapped these layers with a piece of Delightful Dijon 3/8" Grosgrain Ribbon from the 3/8" Trio Ribbon Pack in the Petals & Paisleys Suite. The nice thing about how well our colors coordinate across all families is that Delightful Dijon is really a nice deeper version of Crushed Curry and just blends so nicely.
Don't forget this fabulous trio of ribbon.
It offers so many wonderful options for your cardmaking and paper crafting.
I really love this ribbon; it is so soft and subtle and offers a great way to add dimension and texture to your creations.
- A Little Foxy Friend. This cute little critter comes straight from the Foxy Friends stamp set. Now I did a fair amount of experimenting before I settled on this little guy who is actually fussy cut. Not all the images in the stamp set can be punched out with the Fox Builder Punch (I just wanted you to be aware of that). He is here to bring a special little message to a sweet friend.
Mister Fox sits on his favorite stump (also fussy cut), against a sunny circle of Autumn light, waiting for his BFF (best furry friend), to say "thank you" for being here for me!
Mister Fox is stamped in Cajun Craze, and the stump is in Soft Suede.
A few Cajun Craze enamel dots finish off this little vinette (retired now), and a double bow gives anchor for the sweet little tag (cut using the Tags & Lables framelits). The simple "thanks" comes from the Weather Together stamp set. You may not be able to see it, but the tag is hung with the beautiful Copper Metallic Thread (just gorgeous thread!)
A sweet and simple card ~~ see, I told you!! :-) Just so fun! I haven't played nearly enough with this sweet little stamp set; I need to do that. You can find it in the Annual Catalog along with all the wonderful framelits I used today. The beautiful paper and ribbon is from our Holiday Occasions catalog.
Tomorrow is World Cardmaking Day ~~ What will you be doing with your day? We kick off October here with a bang -- so don't miss out! I'll bring you some reminders and fun little project sheets tomorrow, so don't miss it!!
