Good Morning Fellow Stampers -
Well this has definitely been an interesting week for me; I've spent most of it at home trying to recover from last Friday's surgery. This turned out to be a doozy despite what the oral surgeon had originally predicted! Sigh. Maybe I'll lose those pounds this time around -- LOL 😊
For this week's change-up Thursday I'm sharing a project I worked through coming off the weekend. What do you do when you need a stack of thank you's for about 3 different reasons; why you sit down and make an assembly-line of course!!! 😉 When you plan to make a whole bunch of cards, and do them all the same, there's really no better way.
I seem to be hugely into the paper piecing and fussy cutting right now -- LOL
But these are 10x easier than yesterday's rocking horse - I can assure you!!
I really love the Beautiful You stamp set, and what an easy sweet little card you can whip together like this.
When prepping for an assembly line set up (I did 11 cards in one sitting here), prep all your pieces and parts first (you can see all my figures are stamped, my ovals are all cut, background pieces, etc.)
As I "taught" on my paper piecing project a week ago, stamp the image on the basic cardstock, and then again on the designer paper you will use. Then when you fussy cut, you're cutting just the part that is pieced (as here, the dress only - you don't worry about cutting out heads, and hands, etc.)
I love my little fashionista 😄
Next we're attaching ovals to ovals, and coloring in hats.
Now we'll set up all the card bases and start attaching the simple ovals and do the stamping on the front of the card - one right after another. Quick and easy!
And voila - you have cards :-)
Now I can send out little notes to all the wonderful people who touch my life - like YOU!!! 😘
These little notecards pack a punch in their simple grace - these are the little 3-1/2" x 5" notecard and envelope sets that I love so much. All ready to go, just pick them up and create. No cutting, scoring, etc. And the envelope to match! I added a pretty little flap to each envelope with coordinating / matching designer paper to make them extra special.
Can't you see so many uses for a sweet little notecard like this? Just change out the sentiment on the front!!
Now how is that for a sweet, easy, and fun little project for the day? You can whip these together in no time and have a stack of cards ready for any occasion you need to grab one for. You could leave the sentiment area blank, and just stamp that in when you know what you need the card for. Perfect!!
Have a fabulous Thursday everyone! Talk to you soon.
Until Next Time . . .
