Good Morning Fellow Stampers!
TGIF!! What a week! And I'm thankful it is over. Today is Good Friday, and for many of us we start the holiest of weekends in our Christian year. I have some infection that has set in on my surgery area from last Friday, so I'll be lying low this weekend, and getting some rest. Thankfully, it is supposed to be a pretty Spring weekend with warm weather.
It's time to play with Mojo Monday [MOJO492], and I'm excited to be turning my focus to the Annual catalog. I'll be mixing in a little of what is retiring, with what is carrying forward into the new catalog over these next weeks. So I hope you'll stick with me and let's have some fun!!! 😉
I have really loved the crisp clean look of our Pop of Pink designer series paper and suite from this year's Annual Catalog. I'll be sad to see this paper go. So I'm going to enjoy it while I can!! 😉 This is such a nice color combo!
Doggone Delightful Stampin' Design Tips:
- Layerothology. This card base is cut from Thick Whisper White cardstock, 4-1/4" x 11", scored at 5-1/2" - a top fold vertical card. The background layering is Basic Black with a piece of Pop of Pink designer series paper; then a smaller rectangle of Melon Mambo and a bolder piece of designer paper. Do you ever struggle to figure out how to combine patterned papers like I do? I hope I'm not the only one!! I think this turned out okay though 😉 The layering is wrapped with the pretty 1/8" Melon Mambo stitched ribbon - soon will be gone!!
- Pop of Paradise. I think this stamp set is soooo cute! And I'm thrilled it's carrying forward to the new Annual. You're going to be thrilled with what you see 😉 Here's where I had some fun -- the smaller layered square is a "created background" using the pineapple image from that stamp set! How fun is that! I did indeed fussy cut Mister Flamingo who is just strutting his hot little self today!!! LOL
Here's one of those rare times that I actually use a punch over a die (it seems). The cute little sentiment was punched with the 1-1/4" circle punch (Perfect!), and layered with Basic Black using a 1-3/8" circle punch. Don't you love how easy that is?!?
- Turn to the Inside. I layered the inside of this card to reflect the color scheme on the front, and stamped the cute little palm fronds in a softer Archival Basic Gray so they wouldn't be too strong and stand out too much. Now I'm ready to write a note or stamp a special sentiment!! How fun is this card! I need to find a special friend to send this to :-)
Well, there you have it!! A fun card to kick off your Easter weekend. Sorry I didn't choose to do anything "Eastery". Maybe I'll pop in over the weekend with something special. I do hope to putter in my Studio for awhile this weekend! Remember folks - we're well into the Retiring Products time, and things are selling out fast already!! If you haven't placed an order for those things you've been wanting, there's a chance they may be gone already. Pop over to my Online Store and place those orders Today!!!
Until Next Time . . .
