Good Morning :-) Today's submission is a card created for the Just Add Ink Challenge #202. This was a "stripes" challenge, and the soft yellow and gray stripes in the new Watercolor Wonder DSP called to me. I can see Spring sunshine in those stripe -- I just know it :-) Here's hopin' . . .
I combined Daffodil Delight and So Saffron with Basic Gray and Smoky Slate for a soft early Spring effect. The Flower Shop flower is stamped in Smoky Slate on Vellum and softly colored from the back side with So Saffron and Delightful Daffodil, centered with a Daffodil Delight Petite Petal blossom, accented with a lovely pearl.
Here's a close up :
Did you notice how the Perfect Pennant sentiment was carefully accented with a piece of the same DSP, which was carefully lined up to match the DSP below it ? :-) The whole piece, along with the flowers, was popped up to give dimension to the card.
This is not a difficult card, but the little details make the difference.
Have fun everyone -- the Doggone Delightful Team says, we'll see you later in the week.
Woof Woof
