And Happy Thursday :-) Since Wednesday this week was dedicated to the Stampin' Pretty Pals November Blog Hop, I moved my weekly Creative Crew Design Team posting to Thursday :-) So let me introduce you to this week's CCREW challenge design :
- I have just fallen in love with the new Curvy Keepsake Box Thinlet die. I'm sure many of you have been seeing all the fabulous creative ideas that have been popping all over Pinterest and elsewhere using this new thinlet. Who would have thought so much would have come from this simple gift box die :-) LOL -- I have to admit -- this die was not on my original wish list when I first got the 2014 Holiday Occasions catalog; and I really had not intended on purchasing it for a number of reasons. That changed by the end of August, let me tell you!! Once I started realizing all the things that could be done, and how cute a gift you could make to give folks, I couldn't get my hands on it fast enough!!
I thought the second challenge for this month's Creative Crew (gift packaging) was a perfect time to break open this die set and start playing -- and I just had a ball :-) I decided to take another idea I had seen on Pinterest, and run with it. I didn't just want to create another Peacock. I wanted to create a sparkly fun Snow Bird -- and I think this one turned out just the cutest :-) I had so much fun planning this little guy -- and I'm absolutely certain he is Elsa's sidekick in the fabulous Disney movie Frozen - you just didn't know he was there -- LOL :-)
- I had a lot of fun using our beautiful silver metallic foiled papers from the new All Is Calm SDSP and the new Lost Lagoon In Color to create this little creature. I embossed the Lost Lagoon with the Decorative Dots TIEF to match the papers pulled out my Feather framelits to create his beautiful crystally plumage :-) There is nothing better than our brand new Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer paper for that beautiful crystal snowy look and effect. I lovin' this new paper. Guess how I made Snow Bird's body?? There is the perfect framelit in the Flower Fair framelits die set to create the perfect little bird body; and using a 1 1/4" circle punch for the head, and the Owl Builder punch for all the other parts, just makes it so easy to put this little guy together :-) I Love Love Love the new Snowflake Card Thinlets die set and what perfect little snowflakes to add the head plumage and extra fun to the feather tips!
- This cute little box is also created using the All Is Calm SDSP, and the Snowflake Card Thinlets die set. I love the elegance of this box and these specialty designer series papers. They are a MUST have!!!
The Curvy Keepsake Thinlet Die is our most popular item this Fall. You don't want to pass this up; it will be absolutely perfect to give little treats, candies, small surprises this Christmas to your co-workers, friends, family, gift exchanges -- you name it!!! There are so many ways to create and decorate these little boxes. Get your die set today!!! :-) You will definitely be seeing more creations in the days to come :-)
