I'm coming to you a little late today. I ended up getting all involved in doing some cleaning out and organizing in my Studio today; and then I just had to take Miss Laredo for a walk this afternoon as it really was just beautiful out this afternoon -- a gorgeous warm January day in Colorado! . So it seems before I knew it, time has flown by me and I don't have my blog post up yet for today. Thought perhaps it was time I got down to it ;-)
It's time for the Mojo Monday challenge [MOJO381] for this week before it closes -- and I chose to combine this week's challenge with the very fun Friday Mashup [FM193] and colourQ [cQc276] challenges today :-)
Doggone Delightful Stampin' Design Tips:
- Layerothology. This week's Friday Mashup challenges designers to use the "triple layer" technique (which also goes by several other names). I have done this technique before using Darlene DeVries' technique for layering which is by far my favorite -- the Mashup this week showcases one of our long-standing demonstrators, Dawn Olchefske, and her tutorial and style for doing this technique. You can view her video HERE. I took this technique and mixed it up a bit so as to incorporate a "twist" with this week's Mojo sketch :-) The layers are created with Whisper White and Crumb Cake (for the Kraft color). Everything else here is created with ink :-)
- Snuggles & Smooches. This fabulous new photopolymer stamp set was released in December under our monthly special release. It is really a lot of fun and perfect for the upcoming Valentine holiday; along with being versatile enough to use for other designs. I love the swirled circled "blossoms" in this stamp set :-) The circles are stamped in Coastal Cabana with Strawberry Slush "centers". The hearts are stamped in Strawberry Slush in a "stamped off" fade. The circle sentiment is stamped in Chocolate chip. A little Coastal Cabana thick bakers' twine; some pearls; some fabulous In Color confetti!! This card was fun to whip together !
