Hello Fellow Stampers -
Happy Super Bowl Sunday! :-) Are you all getting ready for the big game? The Puppy Bowl, right??? Well . . . . that's Miss Laredo's highly anticipated "Super Bowl" -- and it turned out to be a "blow out" of the Ruff's over the Fluff's!! There was much rowdiness and barking at the TV screen here in this house today -- LOL . . . I do love the Puppy Bowl! The cutest! :-)
It's Mojo Monday challenge [MOJO382] time :-) It's the "tall and skinny" challenge this week! Which I combined with the Color Throwdown challenge [ctd327] this week -- with my own personal interpretation of the color palate.
Doggone Delightful Stampin' Design Tips:
- Layerothology. As many of you know, the "tall and skinny" design over at Mojo Monday is one of my favorites. I often create a finished size card that is 4" x 7" when I do a "tall and skinny" design; however, today I decided to create more of a "notecard" -- so this card is cut (from Whisper white cardstock) 5 1/2" x 7", scored at 3 1/2". It creates a nice little card that still fits nicely in a regular card envelope; or you can create your very own envelope with our fabulous Envelope Punch Board. The background piece is cut from a piece of Best Year Ever DSP (a Sale-A-Bration free item); a piece of Typeset sits in the background of the focal oval.
- Balloon Bash. Turns out this is Shelli Gardner's favorite set out of the new catalog :-) Kinda cool! 'Cause I pretty much think it's pretty terrific myself! I cut Ovals using our Oval framelits from Very Vanilla and Blackberry Bliss; then I stamped the "confetti" image on the Very Vanilla image using Coastal Cabana ink (stamp off first before stamping the image on the paper). The balloons are stamped using So Saffron, Blackberry Bliss, and Coastal Cabana; they fussy cut, have a piece of Crushed Curry bakers twine attached with a glue dot; and are then popped on the oval with dimensionals to create this fun "balloon bouquet." The entire piece is popped on the front of the card with dimensionals as well.
- Fussy Cut Banners. The banner overlay on this design is "fussy cut" from one of the main sentiments from the Balloon Bash stamp set. Works perfectly when popped with dimensionals, and you add a few sequin pieces from the new Bermuda Bay sequin trim, and wahla!! :-)
This cheerful little card is a perfect birthday card for that someone special! Our fabulous new birthday sets have so much possibility and so versatile. Click through to my Store Front and pick up your set today :-)
