Hello Fellow Stampers -
How is everyone today? Can you believe how quickly this week has gone ? We have had the most beautiful weather this week -- but way too warm for the time of year. It does not bode well. I am hoping we cool back to seasonal norms soon and maybe start getting some Spring rains. In the meantime, in true Colorado Spring weather fashion, the snow is coming in starting today for the next 24 hours or so, so that will bring some much needed moisture.
Time for a little Product Focus today -- and I thought I'd showcase the fun Berry Basket Bigz L Die since we're approaching Easter this. I LOVE this die and the cute little basket it makes. This is so fun and there are so many ideas and fun things you can make and do with this basket.
This is a Bigz steel cut die (see my Ask Wendy Wednesdays post from February
where I discuss the Big Shot and die tools). Because of the "score lines" that this die puts in place for creating this basket, it is recommended that you only
run one sheet of cardstock through at a time.
You need to cut two pieces to make each basket. If you want to line your basket, then you'll need to cut two of the cardstock
and two of the designer paper.
Let's take time out here to watch the fabulous video Stampin' Up! gave us on how to use this die!
I featured this die in the March Stampin' Pretty Pals Blog Hop --
You can see there several ways I played with and decorated this cute basket.
I have some more fabulous ideas that I will share in the coming weeks - even using this as a decoration for a card front; so keep an eye on the blog :-)
This cute little creation is specific to Easter, and will be one of the fun projects my
class group will be creating this coming Saturday.
Hint: The cute little eggs are created using the February Paper Pumpkin stamp set!
Technique Tip: Cut two 1" x 8 1/2" strips of Garden Green cardstock; score it at 3" and 6"; cut with the Fringe Scissors to create "grass";
then put SNAIL on the edge and wrap around your basket base. So easy to create a "garden" of grass ;-)
I see a lot of fun with this cut Die ahead; MayDay baskets; Mother's Day gifts; Birthday, Thinking of You, Just Because . . . the possibilities are endless! Even use them to store cute little trinkets on your desk!
If you don't have a Big Shot yet, what are you waiting for ? Pick up this Die and Big Shot in my Store today! :-) And enjoy!
Have a fabulous Thursday everyone!!
Until Next Time . . .
