Hi Stampers ☺
I have to apologize for being out of the loop the past several days. I have continued to struggle with this cough and crud that seemed to pounce on me out of the blue two weeks ago. I ended up staying home from work on Wednesday and just resting. I finally am starting to feel like I might be on the mend. The cough is a little less at least, and I'm tending to sleep through the night more, so I think that's a good sign ☺
In the meantime, I've fallen terribly behind! I had plans for Pals Paper Arts design this past Thursday; and then I saw Ann Schach's design Thursday morning, and ended up not entering my card because she basically had done the same exact thing I was working on. I guess great minds think alike ☺ Must be why she's my immediate upline! Now I'm working hard to get ready for my Holiday Catalog Premier event on Sunday afternoon; so I've kind of set some other things aside for a day or so. We'll get back on track here as we head into this next week. I'm so very excited about our new Holiday Catalog that releases this coming Tuesday; and I'm excited to be sharing all the new goodies with you in these weeks to come. There is a lot coming this Fall -- so stay tuned☺
I thought I'd stop in for a few minutes this morning and just chat for a few minutes. It's going to be a very busy Saturday for me; not necessarily so "simple." Can you believe how big my Sadie Ann is getting ? That's her up above sitting in my mother's front yard. We've been quite busy these past month. She is growing so fast and just is a dog constantly on the go. Wish I had the energy she has!!
We go with our Aunt Amy and Cousins Logan, Kiera, and Arielle to the dog park and play at least once every week; sometimes more. Look how big Sadie is looking next to Logan these days! These two just love to play and play and run to their heart's content. My little girl is growing up so fast. The first time I took her to the dog park she was just this little ball of fur. She held her own with the "big boys" back then; and she still does. She runs faster all the time, loves to play ball, is cute as a button -- okay, I admit it. I'm a proud mommy! LOL In two weeks she starts Puppy Kindergarten. We have lots to learn. Next week she will be five months old. Time is flying!!
Before I head off today, I thought I'd just share a little of last week's Cottage Greetings card kit class. We had so much fun with this kit!
Look how busy these ladies are ☺ LOL
This kit really is just beautiful! It has a little more detail to it than the Watercolor Wishes kit. The foils in this kit are the added touch that just makes it so special!
There are three designs, and you make five of each.
But what if you took the elements of one of these cards, and created what we call a "stepped up" design ☺
Here's an idea with the Delightful Dijon diagonal stripe card that I thought I'd share. I guess I didn't get a picture taken of the card inside the pocket, so I apologize. I created a "pocket" card by cutting a 3/8" strip off the back flap, and then scoring the front flap at 1/4". Then fold it over and glue it down. Glue along just the bottom edge of the card to close it off. Then you can create the little card to sip inside your pocket. Just measure it before cutting to be sure you have exactly the right side to slip inside. I used a circle punch to create the "notch" in the top. I used the Circles framelits to cut out the "wreath", and then popped it with dimensionals. You can cut the beautiful little wood pieces in the kit, but I caution you to do it carefully and slowly. These will split. I stamped right on the wood; and created extra little flowers with our Itty Bitty Punch pack.
There's a "stepped up" idea for you with this kit ☺ Enjoy!!
Well, I'm off to get my day started! Lots and lots to get done today. Wishing you a fabulous weekend! And if you're in the area and want to join me for my Catalog Premier Event tomorrow afternoon at 1:00, the details are on my Class Schedule page.
Until Next Time . . .
