Good Morning Fellow Stampers ☺
Happy Friday!! I'm so happy to have reached the weekend; and an off-Friday too! It's going to be a busy weekend though. Miss Sadie has her first Puppy Kindergarten class (that's what I'm calling her Basic Training classes -- LOL), starting this weekend. Let's hope she learns lots fast -- Mom is getting tired of a couple of her bad habits already -- haha! She's a lot of fun though. Cute as a button, boundless energy (wish I could bottle that), loves her balls and walks. We're having a lot of fun watching her grow up. She's getting so big already -- 5 months old this past week. Time is passing and I swear she has a growth spurt about every five days!
It's time for the Mojo Monday [MOJO414] challenge today. Do you know that it's kind of hard to design a card while watching Project Runway??!! LOL Nevertheless, I think we got it done.
Doggone Delightful Stampin' Design Tips:
- Layerothology. Mojo Monday designs always have so many great layers to them. This card is cut from Whisper White cardstock, 5 1/2" x 8 1/2", scored at 4 1/4". I incorporated the Into the Woods DSP on this card. Don't you just adore this DSP collection? The background matting on the back layer is Mossy Meadow; on the mid layer is Rich Razzleberry.
- Every Leaf Speaks Bliss. The new Lighthearted Leaves stamp set is just fabulous. I adore the sentiments in this set; and the uniqueness of the leaves are the perfect compliment to our Vintage Leaves set from the Annual Catalog. The best part is that both sets coordinate with the Leaflets framelits. These leaves were stamped with Versamark ink on Mossy Meadow and Rich Razzleberry cardstocks, then embossed with white embossing powder. Recognize that ribbon? Anyone else miss our In Colors in the beautiful stitched satin ribbon? I'm glad I've hoarded a couple rolls of this beautiful ribbon 😉 This one is the Mossy Meadow ribbon.
- Emily Bronte. Did you recognize the author of this poem? Emily Jane Bronte wrote Wuthering Heights. She was also a poet; and this line comes from her poem entitled Fall, Leaves, Fall. I have stamped this sentiment in Versamark on Rich Razzleberry cardstock and again embossed it with white embossing powder. The sentiment piece is popped with dimensionals over the center square. Note that the center layers of this design have their corners rounded to soften the look. Straight edges can have a harshness to them. Don't forget your pearls now 😊
I hope you have enjoyed today's design. Despite Project Runway, I think it came together alright 😊 As always, I'm only an email away if you have any questions regarding my designs or need any help with anything. Looking for a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator? I'd be honored to be your choice.
Before I go, I think we can't let today pass without stopping for a moment to remember 9/11. I follow several other stamping sites and blogs; My Favorite Things and Paper Pursuits created a lovely card design in remembrance of the victims of 9/11 [remember, Paper Pursuits is using My Favorite Things products; these are not Stampin' Up! products] -- I thought I'd just share it here for you. Enjoy -- and pause for a moment today to remember all the victims of 9/11.
Kind of cool, huh? ☺
Have a great day everyone!!
Until Next Time . . .
