Good Evening Fellow Stampers -
And a spooky Halloween evening to all of you -- hehehe . . . that's supposed to be scary laugh !! LOL
It's time for our final Craft Project Central posting for October 2015 and a closing celebration of my time as a guest designer at CPC this month, which really was a thrill. We have two final projects that have posted up at CPC, and tonight we're also going to look at the "Creating Pretty Cards" design challenge for CPC. I'm excited to post up one final design for CPC and for you all to enjoy. Let's get started with the final two projects that are now posted up and available at CPC for everyone to subscribe to and enjoy --
A Cutie Pie Christmas
WOW! How fun is that!!
The special "bonus project" and very final project for October 2015 was posted up today over at Craft Project Central, and it's designed by the fabulous Christy Fulk! You can see more of Christy's wonderful work at Create With Christy.
Here's a sneak peak of this project. It’s time to get ready for Christmas! This project would make a wonderful gift, and anyone would love to receive it. While you’re at it, make one for yourself, too. The tutorial includes a decorated box with a window, and has five compartments to hold 20 tags and a Christmas ornament. It also includes four different tag designs, and five are made of each. It includes a little Christmas ornament, too. The project features the Snow Place and Embellished Ornament Stamp Sets, along with their coordinating dies.
The Bonus Project works just a little differently from all the other monthly projects. If you would like to see and learn how to make this Bonus Project, you'll want to subscribe for the month of October, AND qualify for the bonus project. Bonus projects can be obtained by subscribing to two or more months in a row, putting the Craft Project Central badge on your blog, or by referring a friend and when they subscribe, letting CPC know. With your subscription, and qualifying for the Bonus Project, you'll get illustrated, step-by-step instructions for 11 wonderful projects for only $10!
- Layerothology. This card design is created from Pool Party card stock for the base, cut 4 1/4", x 11", scored at 5 1/2" (top fold card). The background piece is Whisper White cut, 4 1/8" x 5 3/8", embossed with the beautiful new Softly Falling textured impressions embossing folder. Then I laid a piece of designer paper from the new Season of Cheer DSP on the bottom portion, and a strip of Silver diagonal stripe from the Neutrals Designer Series Paper Stack. This bold of layering is unusual for me but I decided to just go for it and give it a try, and I rather like the result.
- Flurry of Snowflakes. The central layer is 2 1/2" x 4" Pool Party, overlaid with a piece from the beautiful Holidays Fancy Foil Designer Vellum - Gorgeous paper by the way!! I then stamped a series of snowflakes with the new Flurry of Wishes stamp set in Pool Party, Mint Macaron, and Silver Metallic inks, and easy peasy, punched them out with the new Snow Flurry punch. I then arranged them across my foil layer with glue dots, and then tied a piece of Silver Cording around the entire layer before adhering it to the front of the card. The piece is finished off with a tied Silver Cording bow, and a Snowflake embellishment with Silver Cording pulled through the center.
- A Miracle Sentiment. Have you looked at the beautiful sentiments in a stamp set, and taken the time to "dissect" them? In other words, using "pieces and parts" of sentiments can be just as fabulous as the entirety. I used the last two lines of one of the sentiments from the Flurry of Wishes stamp set, inking just the part I wanted with Pool Party, stamping on a 1" piece of Whisper White cardstock, and then punching one end with the Triple Banner Punch, and the other end with the 1/8" Circle Hand Punch. Tied with Silver Cording to the center bow, I stabilized it with a single glue dot so it wouldn't flop around too much.
The design is finished off with rhinestones tucked here and there, and a row believe the sentiment. This card just sparkles in the light! I hope you have enjoyed it.
My final act for CPC will be to give away a bit of "blog candy" this weekend! One lucky recipient will receive a free subscription to Craft Project Central for October so that you can see all the great "sneak peak" projects posted up this month and get all the directions and play to your heart's content. To enter my blog candy drawing, all you need to do is go to Craft Project Central, leave a comment on my Project which posted up earlier this month. You have until 8:00 tomorrow evening (November 1st), to leave your comments on my project post. Be sure to indicate you are entering for the "free subscription" from Doggone Delightful Stampin'. I will be picking the winner and announcing it on Monday evening. At that time I will contact the winner to get the necessary information to award the free subscription to the October 2015 CPC projects!! That's all there is to it. I hope you will enter -- I look forward to someone winning the free subscription.
Until Next Time . . .
