Good Morning Fellow Stampers -
How is everyone this fine fabulous Friday!! A week of November just about gone! Eeeeek -- so much to do; so little time!! I can feel the "pressure" of the Holidays closing in on me. At least the fix for my furnace yesterday turned out to be relatively mundane easy. So no new furnaces needed just yet -- LOL. Sadie's glad we have heat in the house -- haha.
It's Mojo Monday [MOJO422] challenge time today. I love the Mojo challenge; it really speaks to my aesthetic. Today's sketch is just as fantastic; and I've decided we're going to shake things up just a bit --instead of a card today, let's create a fun Christmas treat bag; maybe even one you can put a card inside!!
Imagine my surprise this week when I popped over to check our reports and saw this beautiful stamp set pop up on the Extra Inventory report -- huh?!?
Now how is this beautiful set getting missed in the catalog? I have no idea! But it's time for me to pull it out, ink it up, and show you just absolutely fabulous this stamp set really is. In fact, the entire Season of Cheer suite is just a beautiful suite with so much to offer. I'll be taking some time over this next week to showcase it a little bit more for you. Let's start today!! 😊
Doggone Delightful Stampin' Design Tips:
- Treat Bag Foundation. I haven't pulled out my Mini Treat Thinlets die set in a while. I decided this was the perfect challenge to play. This treat bag base is cut from Pear Pizzazz cardstock. Be sure you have reviewed the SU! helpful video on how to put this easy peasy bag together:
- Joyful Season. This stamp set is a 2-step stamping set; easy and fun! With a wonderful "watercolor" feel to the finished stamped images. It coordinates perfectly with the Season of Cheer DSP which also has a very definite watercolor feel to the images and coloring. I started with a backdrop from this designer series paper set, cut 3" x 3", and rounded the corners with the Project Life Corner Rounder punch. Then I created my vertical element by stamping the branch from the stamp set in Soft Suede; the 2nd layer of stamping of the berries in Real Red; and then I fussy cut just the upper part of the branch. The element is popped with dimensionals.
- Sentiment(s). I love the sentiments in this stamp set and the versatility. There are so many ways you can use these particular sentiments and I'm looking forward to playing with them. On this design, I created a banner from Whisper White cardstock, the banner end punched with the Triple Banner Punch, and the upper end punched with the PL Corner Rounder Punch; and then I created a fun little line up here. The first sentiment in Real Red; and the second sentiment in repetition done in Pear Pizzazz. Just fun!! This piece was popped with dimensionals straddling the "branch" so that they are both on the same level.
- Cardinal. The 2-step stamped Cardinal is fussy cut and then backed with a Gold Metallic Doily before being attached to the sentiment banner. You really must try this stamp set !! It is just so fabulous and really fun! And the possibilities are endless.
Don't forget that a 3 1/2" x 4 1/2" notecard fits perfectly inside this treat bag -- what a fabulous little gift that would make!! Now, has anyone noticed what favorite element of mine has not been showing up on my recent designs? I'm curious to see if anyone notices or can figure it out!
Hoping everyone has a fabulous Friday!! It's a busy one here at DDS Studios as we prepare for the Annual Ornament Class tomorrow. Let's hope I get it all done -- LOL!
Until Next Time . . .
