Good Morning Fellow Stampers -
Happy Monday! Here we are halfway through November and kicking of yet another week. The holidays are creeping closer, and I'm getting a little more nervous each day. I hope to be at a certain point by Thanksgiving with my crafting and sewing. We shall see! Another snowstorm is creeping toward us today as well. We'll see how Sadie does with the second snowstorm in her short little life -- LOL
It's Paper Players [PP271] challenge time -- and this week is a CAS (Clean and Simple) challenge. Perfect time for me to play with card designs for this upcoming weekend's "tag and card" class. Really looking forward to it. Today's CAS design uses the fabulous Oh, What Fun stamp set and some fun accessories. Let's get started!
Doggone Delightful Stampin' Design Tips:
- Layerothology. I used the absolutely wonderful Note Cards & Envelopes set in Whisper White for this card. I love the ease of these sets, and the perfect size for a little note. These cards measure 5" x 3 1/2", are all pre-cut, scored, and ready to go, and have the correct size matching envelopes to go with them. Ready, set, create! Wonderful! The layered background is Mint Macaron cut 4 3/4" x 3 1/4"; and a piece of Whisper White an 1/8" of smaller. Easy with lots of white space!
- A Sweet Season. This cute sweet sentiment from the Oh, What Fun stamp set fits perfectly inside this little label created and cut from the Lots of Labels framelits set. You can border this perfectly using the Scalloped Tag Topper Punch and the right size piece of cardstock (this one was 2 1/2" x 3 1/2" before punched). This allowed me to slide in cute little ribbon on each end, and the pop my sentiment piece on with dimensionals. Oh, and guess what! That cute little "banner" part of the sentiment in the center? Yeah, I stamped that again on a scrap piece of paper and fussy cut it out; it too is popped with dimensionals across the center. This creates a lovely 3D effect. The entire piece is "popped" over a gold metallic doily using dimensionals again. This look is quick, easy, and has that CAS look with just enough fun little details to truly make it "sweet." 😊 I like the angle of the sentiment. It gives the front of the card a nice "twist." Sometimes an "angle" is a nice change of pace for a design. This one works well.
The final polished touch to finish off any card before you send it is the liner to the envelope. This is so easy to accomplish with our fabulous Envelope Liners framelits. I love how adding the perfect designer liner to an envelope perfectly completes the ensemble. This one I created using a piece of Garden Green designer paper from the Regals collection Designer Series Paper stack.
I hope you have enjoyed today's CAS design. Won't you leave me a comment? I love reading all your comments. As always, if you have any questions about my designs, feel free to drop me an email - wendyklein@doggonedelightfulstampin.com.
