Good Morning Fellow Stampers -
Happy Thursday! How is everyone this fine day? The week is moving right along! I've been busy prepping for the Blog Hop yesterday, and continuing to work through things around the house as I have a chance. Today is our holiday potluck at work. Lots of good food -- okay, well maybe too much good food -- LOL.
I am bringing back around an ornament that I created last year. You may recall that last year's Stampin' Up! feature ornament product was the "star." The Star framelit dies were introduced which we were very excited about; as well as several gorgeous stamp sets to coordinate. We also saw the Wondrous Wreath stamp set and framelits for the first time.
Imagine my surprise to be contacted by SplitCoastStampers a few months ago and be asked to do a "guest" tutorial spot showcasing that particular star ornament. I was quite honored and excited to be picked out of so many wonderful submissions at the galleries at SCS. I will admit that this has been a little bit stressful for me as I consider SCS a pretty topnotch showcase in our circles; and I certainly did not want to disappoint. It is actually SCS that has turned out to be the catalyst in getting my video tutorials up and running. So I have to thank them for that.
The 3D Star Ornament tutorial actually went live yesterday. SCS tutorials go live weekly; every Wednesday. Because of the Stampin' Pretty Pals Blog Hop yesterday, I could not showcase this and tell you all about it until today!!
You can visit the Tutorial Page featuring this tutorial HERE. And you can view the Video Tutorial as well -
I hope you'll give this little ornament a try. Better yet, share your creations with me and over at SCS. I'd love to see what you come up with. Dina Kowal's version of this ornament is just "to die for." I may CASE her version of my Ornament -- LOL. You can see her version of this ornament at the gallery set up for the 3D Star Ornament -- and you can share your creations in that gallery as well. Just set up your own SCS account, and start playing; it's easy!!
I hope you enjoy this latest tutorial. We have some beautiful new "die cut" sentiments this year; and I think this would be great getting mixed up a little bit with some other colors. I actually think I will sit down this weekend and try it in Gold, maybe with the Red Foil, and some Dazzling Details Glimmer -- gorgeous, don't you think?? I'll post up more samples to SCS when I have them done -- Have a Great Day Everyone!!
Until Next Time . . .
