Good Morning Fellow Stampers -
HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! WELCOME 2016!!! ~~~
Did everyone stay up until Midnight??? I did actually make it, although my eyes were getting pretty heavy while lounging on the couch! A lot of folks like to shoot off fireworks in my neighborhood; so even if you do doze off, you are going to get woken up!! LOL So here we are kicking off a new year, very shortly a new catalog, and I'm sure New Year's resolutions, along with other things. So what New Year's Resolution have you made? I'd love for you to share and read all about it!! I have not made one yet . . .
I want to share another thank you card design we made at class earlier this past week. This one has to be my favorite I think. But then I'm a white and navy fan!! I incorporated this piece of beautiful, beautiful designer paper from the Season of Cheer DSP collection, and enhanced it nine ways to Sunday -- LOL :-) Let's take a closer look!
Doggone Delightful Stampin' Design Tips:
- Layerothology. This card is created using the fabulous notecards and envelopes bundle set. Easy Peasy!!! I love using these ready made Whisper White notecards when you just want something ready in a snap. No extra cutting or hassle. These cards measure 3 1/2" x 5" when folded. The background layers of Night of Navy and the Season of Cheer DSP, are cut in by 1/8" measurements for each layer. The layering than wrapped with Night of Navy seam binding ribbon, and adhered to the card front.
- Lots of Labels With One Big Meaning. This fabulous little tag in the center of the card is created using the Scalloped Tag Topper Punch overlaid with a piece cut using the Lots of Labels framelit die set. The center focal point of this design is cut from Night of Navy cardstock; then the sentiment from the One Big Meaning stamp set (beautiful, isn't it?), is stamped using Craft Whisper White pigment ink, and then embossed with the Irridescent Ice embossing powder; one of my very favorite embossing powders. It just sparkles in the light. The layered tag is popped with dimensionals, after being tied at each end with Silver 1/8" ribbon. The little snowflakes are punched with the Snow Flurry Punch from Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer paper. Rhinestones are placed in the center of snowflakes scattered across the background DSP! Pretty fabulous?!? I love it!!!
I hope you have enjoyed today's design, and feel inspired. We're about to jump into the Spring Occasions catalog products. I have a drawer full of fun already here, with more arriving next week; and I can hardly wait to start playing, designing and sharing with all of you! I hope you are ready to play this new year!!! Before I leave you to day -- here is my 2015 New Year's Wish for all of YOU!!!
Have a Wonderful New Year's Day! Everyone -- we'll be enjoying the Rose Parade this morning, along with a wonderful brunch I made here at the house. I'll share that recipe with you tomorrow! And hopefully some painting in the Studio this afternoon ;-) LOL
Until Next Time . . .
