Good Morning Fellow Stampers -
How is everyone this fabulous Thursday? Winter is returning here in Colorado; snow is expected today and tomorrow. Time to snuggle back in. Unfortunately, I have to head off to the office, so I'll have to venture out in the cold - brrrrrrrrrrrr. LOL I'd much rather stay in and play with all my new goodies that have been arriving from Stampin' Up! Some pretty fabulous things have been rolling in on the Brown Truck -- and I open each box with great anticipation and excitement !! I think this is my favorite part of being a Demonstrator -- all the new goodies!
As we settle back into the schedule this new year, it's Thursday Change-Up time! It's hard to know what to play with and showcase first! I love it all. Today I am bringing you a card I created for a special friend who just found out she has cancer, and has been having some very difficult chemo treatments. I thought this fabulous new Sale-A-Bration set would be perfect for a little "pick me up" card. I had an idea in my head, and headed off to the Studio to play and give it a try! I think it actually worked out pretty well!!
Doggone Delightful Stampin' Design Tips:
- Layerothology. This card is cut from "heavy" Whisper White cardstock, 4 1/4" x 11", scored at 5 1/2" -- a vertical, top fold card. I pulled out the really fabulous new Sale-A-Bration designer paper, Perfectly Artistic. I think right now this is my favorite new DSP. I chose the Mint Macaron colorway, and paired it with Soft Suede for my airplane image; and a pop of White in the ribbon to pull it all together.
- The Sky Is the Limit. This is one of my top picks of the Sale-A-Bration sets -- again, a limited edition item, so snap it up now before it is gone! The idea in my head was to create a "trick plane" that was doing a flip to an upside-down flying position. Trust me, the Stamp-a-ma-jig is heavily employed here -- LOL. I paired my upside down plane with the cute little sentiment from the new Sale-A-Bration set, Honeycomb Happiness. It is the perfect compliment to my little plane, and the message I want to send to my friend. Don't forget your pearls now -- ;-)
- Turn to the Inside. The inside of my card is a combination of the cloud images from the Sky Is the Limit set and the absolutely perfect sentiments from the new Rose Wonder stamp set. How perfect is this? What you don't see here is that I put the verse from that set on the upper flap so that when you open the card, the verse is above, and then the sentiment is here. I set this sentiment low, so I can write my little note to my friend right above it.
