Good Morning Fellow Stampers!
Happy Monday! Here we are, ready to kick of another week. I had a busy weekend, first with a fabulous Catalog Premier Event on Friday evening. We had so much fun! Yes, there were margaritas -- LOL. Then I started working on projects on Saturday. I started gathering all my "sale" items for the big Studio Clean Out Sale on June 4th out into the main room. I'll start re-organizing and pricing shortly! I'm very excited! It's always nice to "purge" and start fresh!
It's Paper Players [PP296] challenge time. I'm so excited to give a "sneak peak" today of several of our new products coming in the new Annual Catalog. I always look at what this week's challenge will be on Sunday morning. When I saw this week's sketch I just kind of was like, ugh!! It just felt so uninspiring to me. I spent the rest of the day dealing with other frustrations like getting items out the door to Goodwill, and closet clean out items off to the consignment shop. When I finally sat back down in the Studio in the early evening, I was like, ok, what am I going to do with this. Then it was like a light bulb went off, and everything just sort of came together.
Doggone Delightful Stampin' Design Tips:
- Layerothology. This card base is cut from Whisper White (heavy) cardstock, 4 1/4" x 11", scored at 5 1/2". The background mat piece is Soft Sky cut 4 1/8" x 5 3/8". And guess what -- that fabulous background piece is Whisper White stamped with images from the new Swirly Bird stamp set! I used Pear Pizzazz for the swirls; and Soft Sky for the stamped off dotted splatters.
- Swirly Scribbles. The new coordinated thinlits set called Swirly Scribbles is so much fun! I'm going to just be loving this!! The different swirls were cut in Soft Sky, Pear Pizzazz, and Silver Foil, then arranged and adhered with the 2-way glue pen. A few pearls set off nicely here.
- Thoughtful Banners. If you haven't taken a closer look at this new stamp set in the new catalog yet, you are missing out. There are so many sentiments, and options to combine and make your own sentiments, in the Thoughtful Banners stamp set, it's really incredible! And so useful. Paired with the new Duet Banner punch, it's easy as pie! I stamped this banner image and the inset message (for my honey) in Pear Pizzazz on Vellum cardstock, and punched it right out! Don't forget to let your ink dry good on the Vellum before touching it so that you don't smear it.
In so many ways, this could be a CAS (clean and simple) card. I really love how this turned out, even the simplicity of it is just striking. I love the color combination too! I think this stamp set and die set is going to offer so many options for us to play with in the months ahead.
I can hardly wait for this catalog to go live so that you can start enjoying all the wonderful new products. We're going to have a fabulous summer ahead!! Hope you have enjoyed today's sneak peak!! Have a great Monday everyone!
Until Next Time . . .
