Good Morning Fellow Stampers -
Can you believe it's Thursday already? My goodness this week has been moving quickly. There is so much going on right now! I got the first Product Shares in on Monday evening, and I've already been working to cut all the beautiful papers. Oh My Goodness!! I don't think there's a designer paper I dislike this year! Ugh -- that means I'm going to have trouble deciding what to use -- LOL :)
I'm starting a new series today on my Thursday Change Up. It's called CASEing the Catty (Copy and Share Everything). There are a number of blog hops out there that do this on nearly a weekly basis. I decided I love so much in this catalog, that at least for the Summertime, I'm going to do some showcasing of some of the fabulous samples and ideas in the catalog myself. And frankly, there is so much I love in this catalog, we could do this for quite awhile -- LOL. I'm going to be presenting my top picks list next week - "My Favorite Things" from the Annual Catalog. It's going to be difficult to whittle this down to a "smaller" list to give you; but I'm going to give it my best show; so watch for that next Wednesday. And I have my first "big box" of goodies arriving here at the house on Friday, and we're going to give a Facebook Live video a try to "open the box" and have some fun, so keep an eye on the Doggone Delightful Stampin' Facebook Page for that one!! It should be fun :-)
Today I'm going to feature the first of the stamp set / die bundles that I'm just over the moon about -- this one is the Flourishing Phrases/Thinlits bundle. Check out page 48 and 49 of your Annual Catalog. I had a hard time deciding which sample to CASE, they are all so beautiful; but I settled on the one in the lower left-hand corner of page 48. This is my version today of this beautiful card design.
I am telling you this thinlits set is absolutely gorgeous!! It's hard to know where to start or what to play with first!
I finally settled on the beautiful single stem flower; and using combinations of our new In Colors to play and have some fun.
I made a set of 5 notecards (5 1/2" x 7", scored at 3 1/2" - with the fold to the top), each card base in one of the new In Colors.
Then created a center focal point using Very Vanilla cardstock and a coordinating color to the base cardstock. For example, I used Pool Party against the Dapper Denim card base, and I used Mint Macaron against the Emerald Envy card base. By the way -- I did not use this color when doing color comparisons a month ago, but I can tell you that Mint Macaron is exactly the right color family and the paler version of Emerald Envy -- they look like they were made for each other when put together.
I put Pumpkin Pie with the Peekaboo Peach card base, Pink Pirouette with Sweet Sugarplum, and Blushing Bride against Flirty Flamingo.
Then I cut a variety of the flower stem die from each of the In Colors and mixed those up against each card. The beautiful sentiment is from the Flourishing Phrases stamp set, and is stamped in the coordinating ink to the card base and with Silver Metallic thread laid in the background, a Very Vanilla banner is centered in each focal piece. A few pearls finish it all off.

This card is simple, but has enough detail to really make it special.
This stamp set is quite large -- it comes in 2 cases; and you are going to Love It!!
And the Thinlits dies . . . well, what can you say! I've been waiting a long time for Stampin' Up! to come out with a "flourish" die -- and boy, when they did, did they ever!!
I'll be using this set a lot -- and I just hope they don't retire this one any time soon -- LOL ;-)
Remember, when you purchase the "bundle" of these two items (available in the bottom right corner on page 49), you save 10% over buying the stamp set and die set separately!
