Happy Thursday! This week has definitely flown by as we have been hustling around here to get some things done and caught up. Tonight is our first evening out of the holiday month, as we are off the Denver Center for the Performing Arts to take in this year's version of "A Christmas Carol". I'm really quite excited to be kicking off the season in this fashion.
And most important to me as I enter this final month of the year, is capturing the memories and moments that mean so much to me, and documenting them to look back on when time has gone by us faster than we feel we can capture. You may recall that I am over the moon for our Project Life collections as Stampin' Up! partnered with Becky Higgins to create an exclusive line that of her products that coordinates with all of SU!'s colors and special features. I've created one of these special albums every year since SU! began their Hello December PL line each season; you may recall Last Year's album that I showcased at the beginning of the season. I kind of "peaked" the cover of that album as I was creating it. Here's how it finished off and looks after I was done with it -- I adore the cover of this album :-)
I was just working the other week to finish up the details in this album from last year's special December.
This album has turned out really beautiful. Just a few more things to add :)
This year's album has a beautiful Emerald Green cloth edge to it, that I simply added some of the wonderful washi tape that was in the collection to dress it up, and then created and embellished the front to be very distinctive for 2016 :-)

You should see it in person -- with the "berry sprigs" in Dazzling Diamond Glimmer paper, and the pine cones in Copper Foil - this cover is just luscious!!
I'm hoping for true "Holiday Magic" this December 2016 :-)
So let's talk Hello December 2016 by Stampin' Up! for Project Life. This year's PL card and accessory collection lives up to its predecessors -- unique to this year's color scheme and just as beautiful!

The focus of the Hello December 2016 PL kit is to create an album to capture all your favorite moments of December. The idea behind this adorable idea and project is to document something each day during the month of December; this could include simple activities like documenting a letter to Santa, or events you attend (like a concert or play), or traditions that your family follows each year such as singing Christmas carols, baking, making Christmas cards, etc. The idea is to prepare the album prior to December, then add just photos and journaling as you go along each day of the month! And with today's "smartphones" and easy printing, it's so easy to "journal" life as you go and keep up :-) And Project Life by Stampin' Up! just makes it that much simpler!!
This year we have two photo pocket variety packs to choose from -- and really, combine together to tell the truth :-) The original Variety Pack introduced last year that is in the annual catalog; and the brand new Variety Pack 2 offered in the Holiday Occasions. The new pack has cute little 2" x 2" slots that bring a whole new look to your album pages :-) Attached HERE you will find a fabulous template to layout your pages in your album -- I'll be using this guide in my album this year :-) Makes it so easy!! You should prep your pages and album prior to December 1st, and I have mine started (here is the opening cover page !) - so that all you have to do is journal and photo each day as everything else (including the embellishing) would already be done!
I'm kicking off today with our first outing and I'm very excited!
It should be another fabulous album and "most wonderful time of the year" to capture more memories.
