Ahhhh, Good Morning Fellow Stampers :-)
It's coming to the end of a very hectic week at work. I'm counting down to the final hours before I begin my holiday break, and I'm relieved. I need the time off desperately, and I need some time now to focus on everything I need to get done for Christmas. I feel behind, and it causes me stress. Tomorrow is my first official day off until January 3rd; and I'm starting my break with the next phase of oral surgery! Yes, yes - I know! Not fun! But I planned this purposely because I knew I could be home and rest and heal more quickly I hope! The oral surgeon has to rebuild the bone in the jaw now so that we can try an implant again early next spring; so it's best to just get it overwith, right?? ;-)
I hope you enjoyed the Stampin' Pretty Pals Blog Hop yesterday. I love "sparkle and shine" in my crafting; and so today, I'm going to bring you a simple card design, with somemore "sparkle and shine" to brighten your holiday season :-)
Doggone Delightful Stampin' Design Tips:
- Layerothology. This "clean and simple" card is cut from Thick Whisper White cardstock, 5 1/2" x 8 1/2", scored at 4 1/4" - a top fold horizontal A2 card. The simple double background layer is cut from Gold Foil, and Whisper White - with the Whisper White piece embossed with the Softly Falling TIEF. I love this simple background.
- Ding Dong Merrily On High. Are you familiar with this wonderful Christmas song? I love the way the group Celtic Woman performs this piece. And our Seasonal Bells stamp set made me think of this song today :-) These sweet bells are stamped in Versamark and embossed with Gold embossing powder. They are popped with dimensionals over fussy cut holly sprays from the Holly Berry Happiness stamp set :-) Those leaves and the bow are colored in using a Blender Pen and Real Red and Emerald Envy inks. I love that the Bell Punch makes it so easy to punch these bells out. And the bow is stamped and punched with the Holly Berry Builder punch. I realized while putting this card together . . . can't you see this changed up a bit as a wedding card? How perfect that would be!! Did you know both these sets are bundled with their coordinated punch??
- Christmas Greetings. The Christmas Greetings thinlits are from last year, and some of my favorites. This lovely sentiment is cut from the retired Champagne Glimmer paper, and adds just the right "sparkle and shine" to finish off this card (along with some elegant pearls)!!
I leave you today with the Celtic Woman YouTube video of this sweet little song to go with my sweet bell card today. If you haven't snapped up these bundles, don't wait!! After January 3rd, they'll be gone at the fabulous 10% discounted price. Shop my Online Store today!! As always, I'm only an email away if you have questions about any of my designs or need assistance with anything!
Ding dong, merrily on high
In heaven the bells are ringing
Ding dong, verily the sky
Is riven with angel singing
Gloria, Hosanna In Excelsis
Until Next Time . . .
