Happy Monday! Off and running into another week. How many of you actually get a "holiday" today? It's Martin Luther King Day . . . but I do not get this day off, just FYI!! So it's off to work we go. I got most of the Christmas decor packed away finally this weekend. Just a few odds and ends that are "new" to the collection and I have to figure out how and where I'm going to store those items for the next 10 months!! It's a little tricky finding spots for new things -- LOL ;) I even loaded up one last goodies tray to take to work today. We're finally winding down and closing out the holidays around here. I'm trying to sort out my Valentine decor now. I'm thinking a little shopping trip this coming weekend may be in store to find some new items for display!! We'll see ;-)
It's time to play with the Paper Players [PP327] challenge for the week. This week is a color challenge, and I decided after some playing around to go very clean and simple for today's card. Sometimes less is more -- and I was afraid to get too carried away with this card challenge this week.
Doggone Delightful Stampin' Design Tips:
- Layerothology. This card base is cut from Thick Whisper White cardstock, 4-1/4" x 11", scored at 5-1/2". I layered one piece of Basic Black as the mat; and then overlaid this with a piece of Whisper White that carries all the details for today's card design.
- Sending Love. This piece is embossed with the new Falling Petals textured impressions embossing folder. But I think they look like fluttering hearts, what do you think?? ;-) A sentiment from the Sealed With Love stamp set is carefully stamped in Real Red ink in just the right spot above the embossing; and "underlined" with a Real Red bow from the Sending Love ribbon combo pack. I finished this card off by scattering some tiny rhinestones across the card front. Clean, Simple, Easy!!!
The rhinestones are set in the centers of various "petals"
You can stamp the inside of this card in any number of ways, making it more general, or a sweet intimate note for your special love! This card is easy to give to the "guy" in your life as it's not too fruu-fruu!!
