Hello Fellow Stampers ~
Are you like me? When you receive a gift, you are supposed to hand write a thank you note, and actually mail it to that person, right? I was raised from a young child, every Christmas and Birthday I had to sit down and write a thank you note to my grandparents and thank them for the gift I had been given. This was just the proper etiquette! It's what those from a gentler time did. It shows appreciation, consideration, and thoughtful gratefulness! Perhaps a bit of the social graces we are losing in our technology-based world today.
In today's hurried crazy world, it can be difficult to find the time for the "social graces." Certainly it is not as common as it used to be to receive that handwritten, thoughtful thank you. I still try . . . I believe in what my mother taught me; I never missed writing my grandmother, grandfather or aunties while they were still all alive. And so, as Christmas has come to a close, I have my list of "thank yous" I need to write for the lovely gifts I received and I am, as usual, trying to figure out how to whip together a batch of thank you cards to fulfill my "obligations." It never fails that time is already passing by me too quickly and I don't have this simple task completed!! Yikes!
Ahhhhh ~~ Paper Pumpkin to the rescue! I do so love this monthly subscription kit. And I am finding that when I need something to throw together that is quick, easy and simple, this is the perfect solution! I have to give some credit to one of my downline, Suzanna Perun. She was the one who got me thinking when our group got together late last month for a "Paper Pumpkin catch up session" that the November kit was perfect for little thank you cards. So, using a sentiment from another PP Kit stamp set, I pulled out what I had left of the November 2016 kit, and threw together the last notecards from that kit. Now, I'll have at least a good portion of the thank yous I need for Christmas gift responses. And the greatest feature I love about this?? It's a "wintery" scene which is so appropriate and perfect for this time of year and these particular thank yous! I'm thrilled!! :-)
