Hello Fellow Stampers --
Happy Weekend! Sorry we're coming to you late. It's been kind of a crazy end of the week for me; flying right into what has been an extremely busy weekend. Thursday evening was HOA Board Meeting night; one that went long. By the time I got home, I was exhausted. So no Mojo Monday card design completed. And I've been running solid ever since. Although it was an off-Friday, I had to run to work early, then had a telephone conference while driving to a doctor's appointment; followed by running to the chiropractor. At which time I promptly locked my keys in the car!! Don't ask. Until that was resolved, I was late to another HOA meeting; and then it was dinner, grocery shopping, errands -- sheesh! I don't even want to talk about today's frantic schedule. At least I got to end the day with some of my favorite stampers playing with the Birthday Bright Kit and just relaxing and having a nice time together. I greatly enjoyed it!!
So we're back to catch-up time! It's Mojo Monday [MOJO489] challenge time ! Cute sketch, don't you think? I've gone back and forth about what stamp set, and theme I wanted to use with this sketch. I finally settled on a set that has been calling my name and just waiting for me to break it out and play -- so let's go have some fun :-)
Doggone Delightful Stampin' Design Tips:
- Layerothology. This card base is cut from Thick Whisper White cardstock, 5-1/2" x 8-1/2", scored at 4-1/4". The background of this card uses the Succulent Garden DSP, matted with Tip Top Taupe (one of my favorite, soon to retire, In Colors). I really love this paper collection -- have you checked it out? - A Basket Bunch of Daffodils. Have you checked out the Basket Bunch Bundle yet?? OMG!! Did you know pretty much ever image in the stamp set has a coordinated die to it? Ohhh, be still my soul!! I adore this sweet little spring set -- perfect for Easter, spring, and all things sweet! And this little basket of sweet flowers is perfect as a thank you. Surrounded by Mint Macaron Glimmer Paper from the SAB Glimmer Paper Assortment Pack, this card just sparkle with soft color!
I downsized the banner shapes from the sketch, letting the 3/8" Mint Macaron Sheer Linen Ribbon carry the day; overlaid with a simple little sentiment punched with the Classic Label Punch.
I really love how this card came together; and my ladies got to watch me play while they were crafting right along side me :-)
- Turn to the Inside. I finished off the inside of this card with Mint Macaron, and a simple sentiment to round out the front! Sometimes simple has the biggest punch!
