Good Morning Fellow Stampers ~
So I'm popping in today to just chat with you for a minute. After the stress of the past couple of months in my life and on my regular job, and with some uncertainty ahead and other things going on, I have decided to change my pattern of blog posting just a little bit. Basically, I'm looking to relieve the pressure a little bit and take a break. Not a big one; just a little change in how many times a week I post for awhile.
Most of you know that I rarely post on a Saturday or Sunday. That was a change I implemented about a year and a half ago. I had simply decided that I needed to find more work-life balance, and I was burning myself out trying to post 7 days a week. I also worry about the content of my posts. When I compare what I do to my upline's, Mary Fish and Lisa Pretto, I find that they do a lot less stamping, and a lot more just information-type posts that tell you the latest promotion or latest Stampin' Up! video tutorial. I try hard to bring you content, and keep the promotions to my Tuesday Round-Up post only. That may change; I'm not sure right now.
In the meantime, I have decided that, at least for the Summer, I'm going to eliminate my Thursday blog post. I may come in and post on Thursdays occasionally (like next week when Wednesday is the Stampin' Pretty Pals Blog Hop), but if you don't see a Thursday post in the months to come, please do not be alarmed . . . it is simply that we're taking a break and changing the rhythm of posting for awhile -- at least for the Summer months.
I need some rest and some time to wrap my arms around what all is going on in my life. It would be better for me if I didn't have to come home every day after work and then hit the studio, and stay up until 11:00 at night trying to get a blog post done; or be so tired, that I can't get it accomplished, and then I'm struggling early in the morning to meet the deadline and get the post up for all of you for that day. I also want some time to re-evaluate. There are a number of things I've really been wanting to do for the online part of my business, and I just haven't been able to find the time. So I'm hoping this will afford me a little more time to pursue some other ideas I've been mulling over.
In the meantime, be sure you are "liked" on my DDS Studios Facebook Page, so that you get "other" content that I provide that is not provided here on the blog. I often do short Facebook Live videos there that provide content you will not see here; for example, I showed how to stamp up the Fabulous Flamingo stamp set last evening - we spent about 10 minutes together, but it was fun, and hopefully informative !!
Additionally, with the changes at Mojo Monday (we'll talk more about that tomorrow), we'll be trying out new card challenges, mixing things up, and doing some new "out of the box" things ~ kind of like Thursday Change-Up where we have the freedom to do whatever we want; we might even look more closely at some memory keeping with the new Memories & More, and try to do more fancy folds, and specialty 3D items. So hang in there with me please. Sometimes changing things up a little is a good thing.
We're going to focus on all these beautiful new products this Summer ~ and I hope you're ready to have some fun. If you haven't started ordering your "must have's" yet, don't wait. You're going to want all these goodies on hand so you can play along.
Thank you for your support and for being here with me (and Sadie Ann), at Doggone Delightful Studios. Here's to many crafty and creative days to come!!
