Good Morning Fellow Stampers ~
Hello and Happy 2nd Wednesday of the month; yes, indeed, that means it's Stampin' Pretty Pals Blog Hop time!! š
Welcome to the July 2017 Pals Blog Hop. I'm thrilled you are able to join us today. This month weāre having a "Pattern Party!" LOL Designers are featuring projects using our favorite Stampinā Up! designer series paper and coordinating embellishments. The problem with that is, ALL the designer series paper are my favorite -- LOL š
You may have just started today's hop here with me, or you may have arrived from Michelle Gleeson blog - StampinMojo. Either way, youāll find the entire blog hop line-up list below, and you can click on the links there to move along through the participants. Ready for today's project?? Let's get crafty . . .
The irony of today's theme is that I love ALL our new designer papers -- LOL :-)
So how do you pick just one to play with? Not easy, I can assure you! But I settled for the gorgeous Delightful Daisy designer series paper collection for today's fancy fold card.
The nice thing about picking a fancy fold like this 3-Fold card, is that you can showcase more than just one pattern from the collection.
This card is cut from 12" x 12" paper - 12" x 5-1-2"; and then scored at 4-1/4", 7-1/4", and 10-1/4" on the 12" side to create these beautiful folds.
A belly band is required to hold your cut closed for giving!
Each of these patterns are from the Delightful Daisy DSP collection.
I chose carefully among the patterns so that I could coordinate the 3 main colors I am showcasing today - Calypso Coral, Tranquil Tide, and Daffodil Delight.
I love the dotted pattern which is the perfect shade to coordinate with the Tranquil Tide matting behind it.
The same colors are picked out of the daisy pattern to the right which is matted with Daffodil Delight.
I kept the ornamentation a little simpler on this card, using our beautiful butterfly thinlits, and the Flourish thinlits in Copper Foil, to give a nice accent and allow the patterned paper to be the focal point of this card design.
This sweet sentiment is from the Layering Love stamp set and cut and matted using the Lots of Labels dies.
Don't you just drool over this paper? It's luscious!
Alternating the dotted pattern on the panels maintains some cohesiveness between the panels and allows the "pop" color on the final panel to really stand out.
When closed and held with the belly band, the patterned paper looks like a cohesive collections - which of course it is :-)
The daisy on the front is finished off with one of our Gold Faceted Gems which coordinated perfectly with the color combination.
You'll notice that the belly band includes our beautiful new Tranquil Tide Finely Woven Ribbon, overlaid with the new Calypso Coral Ombre Ribbon.
All our embellishments and ribbons coordinate with our papers and inks. This is Stampin' Up!'s specialty!!
I'm so thrilled you stopped in for a visit today! Be sure to mark your calendars for next month's hop on August 9, 2017, when our projects will feature ācutsā from punches, dies, framelits, edgelits, or thinlits. Your next stop is Rae Harper-Burnet at Wild West Paper Arts. I know you'll love her project today!! Thank you so much for hopping with the Stampinā Pretty Pals today.
Until Next Time . . .
