Page 112 - 2017-2018 Annual Catalog
I am so over the moon with the samples in the Annual Catalog (well, all our catalogs really). There is a reason it's referred to as the "inspiration book." Don't pass up what you see in those pages as pure inspiration for your projects. CASE (copy and share everything) exactly what you see or mix it up!! Your choice 😉
Today's card is my version of the card sample you see on page 112 of the Annual Catalog - It's the card sample you see sitting on the middle step of the ladder and is A D O R A B L E!
You can see that I mixed things up a little bit but used the idea of the card for my design today.

~ Doggone Delightful Stampin' Project Notes ~
- Cut your card base from Whisper White cardstock, 5-1/2" x 8-1/2", scored at 4-1/4". Remember, fold "in" on the bump of your score to get that perfect finished fold and look.
- Cut a piece of Cherry Cobbler cardstock, 4-1/8" x 5-3/8"; cut a piece of the diagonal stripe from the Be Merry designer series paper collection at 4" x 5-1/4".
- Adhere to the two pieces together with SNAIL, and carefully wrap on the diagonal over one of the stripes with the 1/4" Cherry Cobbler Double-Stitched ribbon. Tip: Put a little SNAIL at the top and bottom of the stripe you've chosen to hold the ribbon in place, and then when you flip to the back to SNAIL and snip it in place, it won't move on you.
- Adhere to the front of your card.
- Cut a piece of the Garden Green houndstooth pattern from the Be Merry DSP at 3-1/2" x 2"
- Cut a piece of Vellum cardstock at 3-1/2" x 2"
- Layer the Vellum over the designer paper by place one strip of SNAIL where you know it will be covered by the reindeer panel later and then layer the two pieces at a diagonal to each other. Put dimensionals on the back.
- Cut a piece of Whisper White cardstock 3" x 1-1/2"; stamp the reindeer from the Merry Mistletoe stamp set in Crumb Cake (stamped off once first on your work paper) on the Whisper White piece, sort of centered.
- Stamp the reindeer again on a scrap piece of Whisper White (don't worry about the antlers), in full strength Crumb Cake ink; then fussy cut your reindeer out, keeping the ears, but snipping past the antlers.
- SNAIL the Whisper White piece to your designer paper/vellum layers at whatever angle you would like
- Add the Reindeer over the stamped image on the Whisper White cardstock using the new Mini Dimensionals.
- Pop the layers to the front of your card so that it is sort of center, but lays just in the right place to line up a bow at the top of your angled ribbon stripe.
- Add a bow (mine is a double bow) with glue dots.
- Add a Cherry Cobbler Enamel shape (from the Regals Enamel Shapes) to the nose of your reindeer.
- Layer the inside of your card with Cherry Cobbler and Whisper White cardstock
- Stamp the sentiment from the Merry Mistletoe stamp set in Cherry Cobbler.
- Stamp the holly image in Garden Green
Voila!!!! I hope this has inspired you to CASE projects from the catalog too!! With a new catty on the horizon for the holiday season, we're going to have lots of inspiration for the coming months!! Remember, we're on break tomorrow; but there will be more Christmas In July inspiration on Friday!!
Until Next Time . . .
