Good Morning Fellow Stampers ~~
It's Thursday, and I'm starting to work this day back into the blog cycle for this Fall. As you know, I took a "break" this Summer and put this day in a "rest mode". I may still do that off and on (i.e., there may not always be a Thursday post); that being said, my plan for my new "theme-based" blog look and feel, is to have what I am calling a "Case-Out Thursday"!! Whoo hooo !! This is a day that we will CASE (Copy And Share Everything) a project, either showcasing something from the current catalogs, or maybe even something wonderful picked up on Pinterest or my private demonstrator group "rooms" where we share and chat about so many wonderful ideas. I'm bursting with ideas right now and don't have enough time to create everything I want -- LOL I think that is a good thing.
This past week, I've been showcasing and focusing on the Color Theory Suite (pages 146 to 147 in the Annual Catalog), and in particular the Colorful Seasons Bundle (stamp set and dies). I'm showcasing the card designs on page 146 today - I want you to see how inspiring the projects in our catalogs really are, and how you can use those to create and have fun. Don't ever feel like you don't know what to do with some of our products -- just open the pages of your catalog for a wealth of ideas and inspiration!!
So here we go -- I often taken inspiration and change it up a little (Copy and Selectively Edit is another way to define the CASE acronym). So we'll look at each of these designs and I'll point out to you how I made it "mine." 🙂
This bundle truly does create "a card for every season" ~ I really do love it.
The products in the Color Theory Suite are all intended to interact and support each other beautifully!
Let's step through each of these designs one at a time!
Last Friday I told you we'd talk a little more about the Color Theory Memories and More pack that coordinates with this set.
The new Memories and More packs are created specifically to give you options beyond the memorykeeping album.
I love how easy it is to incorporate the card designs in these packs into your card designing.
The simple card on the front of this design already has the fabulous honeycomb design on the top and the bottom; just stamp on the chair, the sentiment (which I versamarked, and used Gold embossing powder on), mat it out (I used Crumb Cake), and staple the Crushed Curry Mini Chevron ribbon in place with the retired handheld stapler. The fun Linen Thread bow in glue-dotted in place. Add some Glitter Enamel dots, and pop the piece with dimensionals over the fabulous Color Theory DSP in the background.
Now what a fabulous and easy card to make!!
I love the uniqueness of the Color Theory Designer Series Paper.
You can get a different look just by changing out the paper - this one sports the lines like a paint sample card from the paint store! How fun!
I incorporated Sweet Sugarplum and Berry Burst with the designer paper.
The designer paper was "spritzed" using an AquaPainter and Berry Burst ink.
Here we used the apple blossoms from the Seasonal Layers Thinlits, using Sweet Sugarplum and Pink Pirouette for the flowers; a simple sentiment punched with the Classic Label Punch, and a gorgeous luscious double bow using the Berry Burst Crinkled Seam Binding Ribbon to top it all off -- sprinkle a few of those Glitter Enamel Dots -- all of it coordinated for this gorgeous suite!
This design is a "twist" on the sample in the catalog - especially since the sample in the catalog is a folded gift envelope style card.
This card is cut from Whisper White, and I've laid in a piece of Old Olive that had been embossed with the Woodland Textured Impressions Embossiing Folder.
Then I just stamped in the small leaf image from the stamp set using Old Olive ink. It's a nice tone-on-tone coloring and makes a lovely background.
I wrapped that piece in Old Olive Mini Chevron Ribbon and tied a nice big bow once adhered to the card base front.
The cute little tag uses another beautiful piece from the Color Theory DSP, is punched with the Scallop Tag Topper Punch, and both popped with dimensionals to the front of the card, as well as tied with Linen Thread to the bow.
The leaves were die cut from Whisper White cardstock, and then sponged with Crushed Curry and Old Olive inks -- really lovely!!
Layering Circles Framelits have the perfect scallop circle to cut out this great sentiment - and once again I've scattered some wonderful Glitter Enamel Dots across the design to finish it off.
There is a little more detail to this design; but it's well worth the trouble! Really pretty!
It was the snowflakes and the leaf dies that really made me fall in love with this set!
And I LOVE this sample in the catalog.
I did change things up a bit -- The Dapper Denim striped ribbon is gorgeous against this "crackled paint" Color Theory paper.
And I just love both the snowflake stamp images; and the die cuts -- can't get enough of these!
The sentiment is one I grabbed out of a retired set, so don't wonder where that came from -- LOL
Don't miss the fact that there are 3 sizes of snowflake dies in this set. They are wonderful!
Here's a sneak peak at the inside of this card - just because I love it so much!!
Colors I used on this card? Dapper Denim, Marina Mist, Bermuda Bay, Soft Sky . . .
Don't miss out on this set stampers! You really will love it! Remember, you save 10% when you buy the bundle; then you'll need everything else - the Mini Chevron Ribbon, Glitter Enamel Dots, Memories & More card pack, and the Color Theory DSP because, of course, they all coordinate with each other -- LOL. I hope enjoyed this first installment of CASE-Out! We'll be back for more fun later tomorrow!!
Until Next Time . . .
