Good Morning Fellow Stampers ~
It's socked in cold and rain today!! Sure wish I could stay curled up in bed with a good book! Doesn't that just sound blissful?? Ahhh well, it's off to work we go!! Miss Sadie will have to keep the bed warm for me until I get home!! 😉
It's time for our CASE-Out Thursday installment this week. And I think it's time we step into some spooky Halloweeny fun -- what do you think?? I'm ready to turn the page in the catalog and start playing with more new product . . . how about you?
So today's CASE is a real change-up from the item we're CASEing in the 2017 Holiday Occasions Catalog. So come along everyone . . . let's open today's suitcase, and see what's inside . . .
Spooky Night Suite -
Pg. 52 - Holiday Occasions Catalog 2017
Today we're going to do a CASE of the cute little project hiding to the left-hand side of the page about mid-way back next to the lollipop box.
Now, the reality is that this is actually one of our new and fantabulous pizza boxes all done up on the outside with probably some wonderful treat hiding inside.
BUT ~~ we are going to take this project and turn it into a cute card. So let me show you how to CASE an idea and make it your own!!

Stamps, and Ink, and Paper . . . Oh, My!

Other: Classic Label Punch [Item #141491]; Vintage Crochet Trim [Item #144611]; Black Rhinestone Jewels [Item #144639]; Fast Fuse Adhesive [Item #129026]
"CASE-Out" Design Guide
1. Score your Thick Very Vanilla cardstock at 5-1/2", and fold [Reminder: Fold "inward" on your bump - bump goes to the inside - to get that nice clean professional look]. Use your bone folder gently so as not to "crack" your cardstock. Set aside your card base.
2. Attach the striped designer paper to the Paper Pumpkin cardstock. Flip the layered piece over, and on the back side of the Paper Pumpkin, using Fast Fuse Adhesive, lay a strip down each long edge. Lay the Vintage Crochet Trim along the edge of the cardstock on the Fast Fuse allowing the trim to peak out over the edge. Snip even on each end. Do this for both long sides. When done, add SNAIL adhesive to the rest of the backside of the layering, and then center on the front of your cardbase and adhere in place. Set aside.
3. Cut one of the 3" x 3" squares of the Moon and the Tree from the designer paper. Then ink up the owl from the Spooky Cat stamp set in Archival Basic Gray ink - stamp off gently just once - then line up so the bird's feet align with the branch and stamp onto the paper. [Tip: You can stamp a 2nd time if you think he came out too light; but again, stamp the ink off once before doing this to keep him kind of a lighter gray look. Because this is a photopolymer stamp set, it is easy to line up - use the feet and the eye area to help you re-align the stamp.] Color in the feet and the beak with the Pumpkin Pie stampin' write marker. Using SNAIL, attach the square to the 3-1/8" x 3-1/8" Basic Black square - centered.
4. Stamp the "A Wicked Yummy" spider web sentiment from the stamp set using the Archival Basic Gray ink on a scrap piece of regular Very Vanilla cardstock. Fussy cut around the spider web on each side; then separate the two spider webs by cutting down the middle. You're going to use the piece left on the inside for each web piece to put SNAIL and then attach to the backside of the Owl Square (as shown). Trim at the long ends of the web anything that might show that you don't want.
5. Trim a witches hat of your choice from the designer series paper, and attach to Mister Owl with SNAIL adhesive.
6. Using your Black Rhinestone Jewels, add two little "beady eyes" - LOL
7. Using Dimensionals - pop the square on the card front as shown.
8. Stamp the "Trick or Treat" sentiment using Basic Gray on another scrap of Very Vanilla. Punch out with the Classic Label Punch.
9. Punch another "label" out of Paper Pumpkin cardstock. Cut in half. Attach the cut pieces of Paper Pumpkin to the sentiment label with SNAIL on each end allowing a piece to show [as you can see in the pic above].
10. Pop with Mini Dimensionals onto the card front.
11. Add small Black Rhinestones to each end of the label.
12. Layer the Basic Black, Paper Pumpkin and Very Vanilla cardstock pieces noted in the supply list above and put on the inside of your card.
And there is our CASE-Out for today!! A nice and not to difficult card inspired by the Pizza Box wrap in our catalog page photo!! Amazing how we can do that, isn't it?? LOL 😄
