Good Morning Fellow Stampers ~
Well, here we are at Thursday already. It's been a crazy busy week as we are frantically getting ready for the Annual Christmas Stamp-a-Stack here at DDS Studios. Somehow we'll get it all done; even though I wonder at times!! LOL
It's time for a CASE-Out Thursday; the day we CASE a card from one of our current catalogs. CASE stands for Copy And Share Everything; and sometimes you will see it interpreted as Copy and Selectively Edit. Today we'll do a little of both as we CASE an adorable card from the Holiday Occasions Catalog. Are you ready for some crafty fun? Let's go unlock the suitcase and see what's inside!! 😉
Smitten Mittens Bundle -
Pg. 38 - Holiday Occasions Catalog 2017
I think this is just one of the cutest and sweetest bundles in the catalog. And I love mittens -- don't you? LOL
Time for some sweet winter fun!!

"CASE-Out" Design Guide
1. Score your Pool Party cardstock at 4-1/4", and fold [Reminder: Fold "inward" on your bump - bump goes to the inside - to get that nice clean professional look]. Use your bone folder gently so as not to "crack" your cardstock.
2. Using your AquaPainter, pick up some Pool Party ink and "swish" away across the front of your Shimmery White cardstock piece. Don't overdo it. You just want a "wash" of color for a nice light background. Let this dry.
3. While your Shimmery White cardstock is drying, take your 6" x 6" Whisper White piece and stamp the two mitten outlines, the cuff outline, the stripes inside the cufffs, and the snowflakes, using Versamark ink. Then emboss with Gold Emboss Powder and your heat tool. Cut out with the coordinating framelit dies - easy peasy!! SNAIL the cuffs to the cuff end of your mittens. Use two glue dots and add the snowflakes in the mitten centers.
4. On the Shimmery White Cardstock, add dots of Fine-Tip Glue randomly across the front, then sprinkle with Gold Emboss Powder -- blow away the excess; but not across your entire Studio -- LOL ;-) Stamp the "Smitten" sentiment in Memento Tuxedo Black ink in the lower left-hand area, leaving room for the borders and your mittens.
5. Attach the Gold Foil 1/4" x 3-1/2" strips to the top and bottoms of the Shimmery White cardstock piece (easiest for this is the 2-Way Glue Pen - even though it's retired). Attach your Shimmery White piece to the front of your Pool Party card base.
6. Tie a piece of Linen Thread (prettiest is to double it up; it makes it thicker and look nicer), into a bow with length for the tails. Add a little snail to the middle back of each mitten near the cuff end; then add 3 dimensionals across the back of the rest of each mitten.
7. Attach the "bow" of the Linen Thread to the card front with a glue dot; then attach a tail of the Linen Thread to the back of each mitten, and then attach the mitten to the card front, overlapping slightly.
8. Admire your adorable piece of art the rest of the afternoon!!!
That's our CASE-Out today -- how fun and easy was that!! I think they're adorable! What I like about this card is that it can be used for really any event or occasion throughout the winter months as it doesn't look just "Christmassy". I like that versatility! I'd love to know your thoughts in your comments today!! And I hope you have had some fun too!! You can order all your Smitten Mitten supplies in my Online Store - don't wait!
Until Next Time . . .
