Hello Fellow Stampers ~
Welcome to a rare Sunday blog post. Something I do not do too very often. But today I am excited and honored to be participating in the November Remarkable InkBig Blog Hop. This is a Hop with my up-up-upline, Lisa Pretto - and it is so wonderful to be a part of her larger group! I'm thrilled to say I have Lisa Pretto as my mentor, trainer, and guide! The InkBig group is truly a talented group of demonstrators, and today the November Blog Hop Theme is Holiday Tags! I call it "tagology." LOL This is perfectly timely for me, as it is truly the time of year to be preparing all those details for your upcoming Holiday Season and gift-giving of all shapes, sizes, and types.
You may just be starting the blog hop here at my blog – Wendy Klein @ Doggone Delightful Stampin' - or may have come from the person previous to me in the list. If you get off track at any time, the full lineup below will help you move along from blog to blog so you see all the projects. Are you ready for my fun-filled tags? I definitely got in the creative spirit with these tags!! 😉
I've been wanting to play with the Merry Cafe stamp set and the coordinating Coffee Cup Framelits all season. It just seems like it's nearly impossible to get around to all the wonderful products we have in our current Annual AND Holiday Occasions Catalogs. Oh My!! Now that I've spent time playing, I wish I'd done the Autumn-themed designs I wanted to play with earlier this Fall. Oh well!! Never too late for a good thing I guess!! LOL These tags were so fun to create!
I also used the Celebration Thinlits dies to create these "double" tags today. I wanted both the stability and the "background" that this afforded my cute little cups. I also thought it would allow more of a message on the back side of the tags. I stole a little bit of this idea from my up-upline, Mary Fish! Thank you Mary for all the inspiration you truly provide!!
Red is the coordinated color through all the tags; with 2 of the tags done in a Kraft and green/red combination; and 2 of the tags done in a black/white/red combination.
Let's take a closer look!
I pulled out my Kraft cardstock for a more "rustic" look to these fun tags. Remember, you can get our wonderful Kraft cardstock in the Merry Little Christmas 12" x 12" Cardstock Pack (includes Old Olive). A fabulous way to stock up on two of my favorites!!
Some weeks back I saw the most incredible collection of "craft" tags at Michael's, and took pictures of the entire racks. I thought to myself, I know we can duplicate these tags with our own products -- and boy am I right about that!
One of those gift tag bundles was coffee cups just like these with red glimmer paper stripes. Hah! I don't need no stinkin' Michael's -- LOL
Easy Peasy!! Each of these cups is cut from Kraft cardstock using our Coffee Cups framelits. I then cut a second cup from Red Glimmer paper, and then just trimmed out the parts I wanted with my paper snips, and just kind of eyeballing it. I think it turned out adorable!! The sentiment on the left is put together from the Merry Cafe stamp set; the sentiment on the right is from the Merry Little Labels stamp set. I used the cute holly and berries images from the Merry Cafe stamp set, and then used my Stampin' Blends to color some pearls and overlay the berry images. Cuteness galore!! Our Mini Tinsel Trim is perfect for these tags!
These two pretty tags incorporate the Merry Little Christmas designer series paper, and the Merry Music specialty designer series paper, along with some red "pop" accents. I got really creative with my "snowflake" designed cup, putting a Silver Foil Snowflake on the Kraft background tag, and several Dazzling Diamonds glimmer snowflakes cut with the snowflake die out of the Seasonal Tags Framelits. Black Rhinestones are perfect on these two tags. Those gorgeous Black Rhinestones aren't just for Halloween after all!! The "Merry" sentiment is Versamarked, and embossed in Silver emboss powder, for a little extra "glisten."
Each of these tags is a little bit different; some with "whip", some with "lids", and one without. That is the versatility of these sets and how creative you can be!! I really love how each of these turned out; and greatly enjoyed my time playing in the Studio. I hope you have enjoyed today's project; and would love to read your comments!!
Did you notice that both the Celebration Thinlits Dies AND the Coffee Cups Framelits Dies are 20% off on the Online Extravaganza sale? Don't miss out on this savings for these wonderful die sets!! Take advantage before midnight tonight on these diesl!!
