Hello Fellow Stampers ~
Here we are for a rare, and fun Sunday blog post. Welcome to the Remarkable InkBig Blog Hop for December 2017. This month our theme is a Sneak Peek of the 2018 Occasions & Sale-a-Bration Catalogs! Whoo Hooo!! I LOVE that I can give a little peak at what's coming in just a few weeks!! And I'm really excited about what I have to reveal to you today!! 😉
You may just be starting the blog hop here at my blog – Wendy Klein at Doggone Delightful Stampin' Studios - or may have come from Jennifer Michalski at Stamping Serenity, the person previous to me in the list. Wherever you're starting from, no worries -- you can stay on track with the whole hop by following the lineup below. That way you get to see all of today's "sneak peak" projects!!
Those who know me know that we always start with Valentine's Day here at DDS Studios, and so I'm beyond excited to share with you today, a sneak peak of the Painted With Love Suite. This suite will be found on pages 18 and 19 on your new, soon to arrive 2018 Spring Occasions Catalog, with more Valentine's fun on the next pages following. I have to tell you, this is a gorgeous suite of products, and I had so much fun "dipping my toes" into the water and playing for today's project.
Today's project is chock full of new products - luscious new specialty designer paper, new dies, new stamp set, new trims, and even a new embossing folder - can you see it?? LOL
This cute little box is created with the new Lots to Love Box Framelits Dies - bundled with the new Sure Do Love You stamp set, you can save 10% on the deal.
I have to tell you - I don't know where to start with all I want to share -- LOL
So let's start with the paper . . .
I'm only going to sneak one sheet of paper out of this set of paper - the one I used for the box.
I have to tell you, this has got to be THE most gorgeous paper I have ever seen -- Stampin' Up! outdid itself this time!
This is a specialty designer set of papers - with Gold foil on all the pieces; and still double-sided with wonderful watercolored washes on the back as well!!
You are going to just "die" for this paper!!
This wonderful new set of dies coordinates with the images in the stamp set; and also creates a wonderful new box!!
The best thing to do when you get a new die set is to just cut all the pieces out and see how they look and what they do -
You will need to cut two of the shape for the box in order to create the box.
And the little curved die creates a "flap" for the lid to slide into - but the lid flap can also tuck inside like a regular box. Which is what I chose to do for today's box.
After cutting and creating today's box, I went to town and had a little fun.
A banner out of vellum was embossed with one of the two embossing folders you'll find in the Petal Pair textured impressions embossing folder set. It's been popped on the box with dimensionals right where I knew I'd be covering them and they wouldn't be seen.
I cut a pretty Gold Foil banner with another one of the dies; stamped this beautiful sentiment from the Sure Do Love You stamp set in Berry Burst, and cut it out with the coordinated framelit; then put the two together and attached them to the top of the Vellum banner.
Then I stamped the 3 adorable hearts also in Berry Burst ink and cut out with the coordinated framelits, and attached with glue dots. I added some Clear Wink of Stella over the color on those hearts to add some fun glitter.
I wrapped the brand new Love Mini Tinsel Trim around the top of the box and tied a cute sideways bow.
Now don't you just love that!!??!!
This box would fit a bunch of those candy hearts perfectly as a lovely little gift for your sweetie!!
This was a ton of fun today and I hope you enjoyed it too! Thanks for taking part in the blog hop. Now hop on, as there are so many amazing ideas and inspiration you don’t want to miss.
