Good Morning Fellow Stampers ~
Happy Thursday once again! It seems like a long week for some reason. Maybe because I'm still struggling to feel well after the bout with the stomach flu this past weekend. It's been a strange week at any rate. I've had a nice chance to cozy up in my studio and play in the evenings without too many distractions; and that's been particularly nice!
Today's card is a Sale-A-Bration CASE -- and boy was this one a doozy!! LOL My upline, Ann Schach, and I spent a significant amount of time on the phone while she tried to assist me in figuring out the "key" to this one. The struggle was where on earth did the designer paper come from that you see on the sample for this card. Turns out, it was the last thing either she or I thought of -- isn't that Murphy's Law for ya'! Kuddos to Ann for coming up with the answer just as we were both pulling out our hair -- LOL
Ready to unlock the suitcase with me this week? I LOVE this card; but beware! It is an intricate card that will take some patience and time to accomplish. Pull out your favorite TV binge watching show while you work this one . . . here we go!!

"CASE-Out" Design Guide
1. Score your Bermuda Bay cardstock base at 4-1/4", and fold [Reminder: Fold "inward" on your bump - bump goes to the inside - to get that nice clean professional look]. Use your bone folder gently so as not to "crack" your cardstock.
2. From the Sale-A-Bration Tutti-Frutti Cards & Envelopes Pack, choose the Pool Party/Bermuda Bay dotted card base, cut in half; then cut on of the halves to 4" x 5-1/4".
3. Cut a piece of Vellum to 4" x 5-1/4"; then using the diamond pattern from the Pattern Party Decorative Masks pack, line up over the Vellum piece and lightly spread over one diagonal area (not the whole mask - preferably from upper left corner down to lower right corner), the new Shimmery White embossing paste. Use just a light film of the paste. Pull away the mask (clean up your mess -- LOL), and let the paste dry on the vellum.
4. Cut a strip of the Bermuda Bay stripe from the Bubbles & Fizz Designer Series Paper (Sale-A-Bration product) - 1" x 4-1/4". Be sure to have your stripes running "up and down" not horizontal.
5. Line up the Vellum over the blue dotted card base you cut in number 2, and the Bubbles & Fizz strip about 1/3 of the way down over the top of that and sew around the edge. You can use paper clips to hold things in place while you get started. [I am a quilter, so I used my 1/4" seam foot to put in an exact border all the way around. - very easy!]
6. Attach this finished piece to the front of the Bermuda Bay card base.
7. Cut a Vellum scalloped circle using the Layering Circles Framelits. I used the 4th largest scallop circle in the set (if you line them all up with each other you'll see what I mean).
8. Cut a strip of Silver Mini Sequin Trim approximately 12" long (give or take) to attach to the front of your card in a loop under the Vellum scalloped circle. Attach this first using a few glue dots to hold in place as you create the circle. It makes it very easy if you do it this way. Attach the Vellum circle over the top with two dimensionals. Put these in the center where they will be hidden by the stamped images overlay.
9. Using the Beautiful Peacock stamp set (Sale-a-Bration set), stamp your peacock in Smoky Slate (or you can use Basic Gray if you want a darker look). Then stamp the flourished feather image, 3 times in Bermuda Bay, and twice in Lemon Lime Twist.
10. Now settle in with your favorite movie while you fussy cut away! Yes, it takes some time. But the finished effect is so well worth the careful cutting!
11. Attach each of the finished feather pieces to the back side of the peacock using a glue dot, and alternating the colors. Add Mini Dimensionals on the back of your peacock and attach to the front of your Vellum circle.
12. Stamp the sentiment using Versamark on the 1" x 2-3/8" Calypso Coral strip and emboss with White Stampin' Emboss Powder. Hand snip a banner tip. Attach over your layers using a little bit of SNAIL and one small Mini Dimensional at the end to keep at the same level as the circle set.
I hope you have enjoyed today's CASE-Out. You can earn the 3 Sale-A-Bration products used in today's design with a $150 minimum order. Don't be put off by the "difficulty" that it looks like this card is. It really isn't that difficult; just time-consuming with fussy cutting is all.
