Good Morning Fellow Stampers ~
How is everyone this lovely Thursday morning. We're supposed to have a nice sunny day here before the next round of cold a little bit of snow arrives tomorrow. In the meantime, I've begun an "early Spring clean out" in my home; some of the projects I had hoped to get to over my holiday break and didn't. Some much needed purging and clean out of drawers, files, cupboards, etc. I always feel so much better when I lighten the load!!
It's time for this week's CASE-Out . . . and we're going to stay focused on Valentine fun this week. Especially since I have a fun class this Saturday all about the holiday of hearts!! LOL
So let's spin the lock on the suitcase, dial in the combination, and flip that lid open and see what we find . . .

"CASE-Out" Design Guide
1. The Narrow Notecards are 2-1/2" x 4-1/2", and come pre-scored for you - fold and burnish with your bone folder. [Reminder: Fold "inward" on your bump - bump goes to the inside - to get that nice clean professional look]. Use your bone folder gently so as not to "crack" your cardstock. We will be turning the card "horizontally" so that the fold is to the top.
2. Cut a piece of the "striped" Painted With Love Specialty Designer Series Paper 2-1/4" x 4-1/4" (be sure to align the stripes the right way so they will run horizontal across the card front).
3. Use the Gold "Dot" strips from the Painted Love Gold Vinyl Stickers. Lay flush with the edge of a piece of Whisper White cardstock; then cut using your Stampin' Trimmer - should come out just shy of 1/4" wide. Create as many of these little "strips" as "gold foil" stripes in your piece of designer series paper cut for the front of your card. Add some multi-purpose glue to the back of your strips, and carefully align and adhere over the "gold foil" stripes in the designer paper.
The "dotted" strip in the stickers I'm referring to are right on the lower left by my fingers.
Note how they have been overlaid on Whisper White cardstock, cut in strips, and then adhered over the "gold foil" stripe in the designer paper - sample on the right in picture above.
4. Adhere the finished designer paper to the front of the card with SNAIL.
5. Cut a small heart from Berry Burst cardstock using the Sweet & Sassy Framelits.
6. Stamp the sentiment in Berry Burst ink on a piece of Powder Pink cardstock, and cut to measure 2-3/8" x 1/2". Hand snip the banner tail on one end and attach with SNAIL across the center of the heart.
7. "Fray" a piece of Powder Pin Mini Tinsel Trim:
Do this using a pin or needle and carefully separate the strands, starting at the end and working your way carefully down.
Take your time . . . this trim does not separately easily but it can be done! Don't tug or pull s the "tinsel" strands will break if pulled too hard.
I found that I could use the pin to help me separate the strands, and as I worked my way down I also used my fingernails to work the strands apart from each other.
8. Once you have a section of tinsel trim frayed and separated, put SNAIL on the back side of the heart cutout and attach/arrange the frayed trim so that it sticks out and frames the heart.
I used a little bit more here than the sample in the catalog - I just really liked the way it looked when it was attached.
9. Pop the piece on the card front using dimensionals along the back of the heart and banner. This will also give you some extra "hold" to the frayed trim.
10. Add the "gold foil" heart strip from the sticker pack to the edge of the coordinated envelope. And you have a wonderful little "note" for your sweetie!
Check it out!! This is such an adorable little notecard. And did you know . . . these notecards are made to fit inside the adorable box that you make with the Lots to Love Box Framelits Dies?? If you didn't realize that, be sure to check it all out. This is so cool!! At least I think it is -- LOL 😉 I love these cute little notecards. They are a new size and shape for us; and I think a great addition to create a little gift set as well.
So our combination worked to unlock the suitcase. Be sure to come back next week and see what we find inside . . .
Until Next Time . . .
