Good Morning Fellow Stampers ~
TGIF!! And a working one for me - so I am looking forward to the end of this "long" week and getting on wit the weekend!! yeah! Tonight we have a "make-up" class playing with Brusho Crystals and watercoloring since I was sick this past weekend. I am looking forward to an evening of fun!
Ever feel like there is too little time to play with all the wonderful goodies? LOL That's how I'm feeling right now. I love so much about this new catalog, and haven't even begun to scratch the surface. Let's hope I can find more time to settle in and just play, play, play . . .
Ready to have some Fabulous Friday Fun with me today? Sadie Ann says it's time for a play date . . . 😄
The Friendship's Sweetest Thoughts stamp set, is just the sweetest little stamp set; and perfect for coloring of all types. Today's card employs our fabulous Watercolor Pencils and Blender Pens. This card is chock full of new products, including a textured impressions embossing folder set that you might have missed.
Today's card base is cut from Thick Very Vanilla cardstock, and turned on the horizontal (the fold to the top).
I used Peekaboo Peach as the matting and ribbon accent colors, as well as the ink for the sentiment.
This creates a classy and simple look (keeping the color scheme to two basic colors).
The front Very Vanilla piece is cut from regular Very Vanilla cardstock - 3-7/8" x 5-1/8".
The cute little image was stamped in Archival Basic Black in the lower center of the piece; then cut out with the 2nd largest of the Ovals in the Stitched Shapes Framelits dies.
Then I used what I call the "leafy branch" embossing folder from the Peal Pair Textured Impressions Embossing Folder set - twice on the horizontal across the cardstock.
After being layered to the Peekaboo Peach mat, I wrapped the two layer with Peekaboo Peach 5/8" Crinkled Seam Binding Ribbon.
Now for coloring fun ~ using our wonderful Watercolor Pencils and a Blender Pen (what we call "faux watercoloring")
This sweet little image is easy to color - I had so much fun mixing and playing with the colors.
The finished piece is popped with dimensionals offset over the opening.
After stamping the sweet sentiment, I cut it out with this wonderful banner framelit from the Petals & More Thinlits die set.
And then accented it underneath with this gorgeous cutout from another one of the thinlit dies from that same set cut out of Peekaboo Peach cardstock.
The layering adds a lovely eclecticness and additional texture to this card. Attach the intricate die with a little bit of Fine-Tip Glue; then pop the sentiment over the top with dimensionals to match the oval above.
If you've missed this wonderful duet of embossing folders - you can find them on page 23 of your Occasions Catalog. Don't miss them - you'll love them!!
You may notice that I added some of the new Glitter & Clear Epoxy Shapes to finish off this design. Another wonderful new product that can easily get missed or overlooked! If you participate in the Product Shares, you can receive a sampling of these wonderful new embellishments. You can order all of today's products in my Online Store.
Have a wonderful Friday and weekend everyone. Stay warm if there is cold and snow in your area. We'll be back soon with even more fun!!
Until Next Time . . .
