"Case the Catty" - February 2018 Stampin' Pretty Pals Blog Hop

Happy Valentine's Day!

And welcome to the 2nd Wednesday of February . . . which means, it's time for the Stampin' Pretty Pals Blog Hop this month!  I hope you're ready for some fun and inspiration as we "Case the Catty" today.  The Stampin’ Pretty Pals will copy or remake projects from any of the current Stampin’ Up! catalogs and brochures.  After all, who doesn’t CASE (Copy and Share Everything) once in a while.  You may be just starting today's hop here with me, or you may have "hopped" over from another Pal.  In either case you’ll find the line-up toward the end of my post to help you move along.

Today we're going to CASE the sweet little tags (or bookmarks) on page 20 of the 2018 Spring Occasions Catalog.  I've had my eye on these little cuties for awhile now - and with today being Valentine's Day, it seemed like the perfect time to snag a last minute project - easy and quick that you can give anyone today that you might want to remember with a sweet little "something."

 

These sweet little tags showcase the Heart Happiness stamp set; but the wonderful sentiments are all from the Petal Palette stamp set -- check it out!!

 

Peekaboo Peach and Calypso Coral are the colors used on these projects (except for the one row or Real Red hearts on the tag to the right).  Achieve variations in color by stamping off first to get lighter shades; and stamping full strength for darker shading.

I "dressed" up my tags (compared to the ones in the catalog) by using the Scallop Tag Topper Punch (one of my most favorite punches), and using the new Silver Baker's Twine for all the twine pieces on these tags.  You will also see the Calypso Coral 1/4" Ombre ribbon, just a gorgeous ribbon for a project like this.
