Oh My Goodness!! TGIF . . . and not soon enough for me this week. And it's a working Friday too -- yuck!! I've decided I'm taking the afternoon off! Ha
Besides, I ran into issues with today's project, and had to go find the right "hardware" to finish -- LOL 😉 Who ever heard of needing "hardware" to make a card -- LOL
The moment I saw the Barn Door Bundle I was "over the moon" - what a perfect set for a countrygirl like me (from North Dakota orginally); plus "barn doors" are all the fad in home decorating (which I LOVE!!). So when I started playing with this set, I knew I had to have just the right "accessories" to go with it - like a farm animal -- LOL! We have so many wonderful sets in our catalog right now that help support whatever your style is to coordinate with this set. Today I chose a little bit different color combination for my fun "barn" - and I hope you'll love the way it pops as much as I do!!
Design Colorology
I'll be honest - I've never been a Huge fan of slider cards; this one has changed that for me! I want to make a ton of these!! LOL
I stamped the Hardwood background stamp in Cherry Cobbler ink on Cherry Cobber paper [4" x 5-1/4"] - then used the Sliding Door Framelits to cut the slider; I stamped the same using the Barn Door stamp set and cut the door with the same wonderful coordinating framelit set.
Then it was time for a little fun -
The sentiment is from the Layering Love stamp set . . .
And my cute little fussy cut piggy is from the This Little Piggy stamp set in Powder Pink ink - colored "lightly" with the Pink Pirouette Stampin' Blend marker. A little heart left from the Valentine Sampler makes this the perfect little valentine for my sweetie in a week!!
Don't you love how that door slides back and forth to show what's hidden on either side underneath? So cute!
And I love the pop of Lemon Lime Twist green in the background.
