Hello Fellow Stampers ~
Welcome to a rare Sunday post - the only one we do each month now for the Remarkable InkBig Blog Hop!! We're pushing out a "last call" for Sale-a-Bration, with the final two weeks of this wonderful time of the year left to us; and you really don't want to miss out on any of these wonderful products!! I have loved them all!!
So, Welcome to the Remarkable InkBig Blog Hop for March 2018. You may just be starting the blog hop here at my blog – Wendy Klein at Doggone Delightful Stampin' - or you may have hopped in from Jennifer Michalski at Stamping Serenity - the person previous to me on the list. If you get off track at any time, don't worry. Just surf down to the full lineup below and follow along from blog to blog so you see all the projects.
Today I'm featuring one of our Level 2 bundles - the Blossoming Basket stamp set, with the new Basket Weave Dynamic Textured Impressions Embossing Folder. This is a GORGEOUS set, and YOU can get this bundle for FREE, with your qualifying $100 order during Sale-A-Bration!!
Today I'm celebrating St. Patty's Day a little bit "late" with a basket full of "Cabbage" roses, accented with plenty of Champagne Foil accents.
I'm using one of my favorite "masculine" techniques today ~ the "tarnished metal technique".
So easy and fabulous, because, of course, no basket is just one "plain" color, right? I wanted a background that looked a little "tarnished" from the outdoors, so the background is cut from Champagne Foil, glossed over with Archival Basic Black ink, which I polished a little with a paper towel, then embossed with the new Basket Weave Dynamic TIEF, and then lightly ran some Versamark ink over, and added the Copper embossing powder. You don't want a lot, just enough for a fabulous effect!!
My basket was stamped "twice" in Memento Tuxedo Black on Shimmery White cardstock, and then colored with Old Olive and Soft Suede Stampin' Blends markers (note, I only colored the roses on one image, and only the basket and leaves on the other).
Then I fussy cut the roses out separately, and then the basket and leaves separately.
Those fabulous Champagne Foil "sprigs" - well take a close look at your Sweet Cake Framelits Dies set ~~ There are some really cool pieces in there folks!!
The basket is layered on a piece of Vellum cut with the largest scallop from the Layering Circles Framelits; then I layered on the leaf sprigs and the roses using glue dots so I could get just a little dimension, not too much!
The entire piece is popped on the front of the card with dimensionals - and the roses are finished off with Clear Wink of Stella for lots of shimmer and a few pearls.
I chose to leave a sentiment off the front of this card ~ it makes it easy to use it for any occasion that you might decide a need.
I love this!! Do you like my "irish" basket of roses? LOL
