Here we come with a "late" Mix-It Up Mondays post - due to blog maintenance and other issues, this is coming a little late.
But they say, better late than never . . . so I hope you'll forgive and enjoy! It's a busy week this week for all Stampin' Up! Demos with a brand new Annual Catalog in our hands, and lots of fun to go with it! We're all bursting at the seams - but we're not allowed to share it all with you just yet!! So stay tuned! But there is plenty we will be sharing with you all this week - so stay tuned for the Tuesday post.
In the meantime, I wanted to share what I've been playing with in the Studio this past weekend - as we play with the April theme of "Spring" (April Showers Bring May Flowers). And I actually got some time to play with the You're Inspiring stamp set! Cute!
This is a labor of love in fussy cutting - but oh how pretty and worth the effort!!
And what better flower for Spring than the Daffodil!!
This gorgeous cluster is colored with Daffodil Delight and Old Olive Stampin' Blends and popped with mini dimensionals over a layering of Ovals also popped on the front of this card.
The top layer of the Ovals is Vellum embossed with the Softly Falling TIEF - which I love, as it looks like a smattering of tiny pearls the way the Vellum takes the embossing.
A nice big Daffodil Delight 1/4" Double-Stitched Bow brightens this card.
I used the Quilt Top TIEF to emboss the background for a really pretty textured effect.
And besides pearls to finish it all off - I colored just the "Happy Mother's Day" part of the sentiment in the stamp set with a Daffodil Delight stampin' write marker and punched it out with the Classic Label Punch. Now how easy is that!! I think this will make the perfect Mother's Day card, don't you??
