Hello Fellow Stampers ~~
Happy New Year's Eve!!!! I'm finally back, after a rather longer than expected break from things. December turned out to be hectic, fun, and exciting!!!
I've been waiting a little bit to make this announcement, and I'm just so excited because this has been a long time coming . . .
I'm super excited to share with everyone that Mike asked me to marry him on December 15th, and so we are officially engaged now - because of course I said "yes" !! LOL
Yes, I'm all smiles!!
Wedding probably next Fall sometime. 2019 should be a busy and exciting year!!
The very last project I usually share with my stampers are thank you cards to close out the year!
We all need a nice thank you card to thank those folks for all the wonderful presents we got at Christmas, right??
I usually try to use one of our sets from the Holiday Occasions Catalog to design the final card of the year - and usually it's a set that is retiring!
This year is different - this year's set is carrying forward, AND has a brand new stamp set in the 2019 Spring Occasions catalog to match the framelits! I'm super excited about this; and this set did not get nearly enough use this season.
This card is actually designed using the 3-1/2" x 5" Whisper White notecards and envelopes set. I love making quick and easy cards using these pre-cut, pre-scored notecards; and I love the sweet size!
The featured blues in today's card design are Blueberry Bushel and Balmy Blue - gorgeous together!
And set against a shimmery background from the Frosted Florals Specialty Designer Paper set. Did you hoard a bunch of this like I did?? LOL I'll be parceling this out carefully for some time to come to make it last! I did so love this gorgeous paper!
The sentiment is from the brand new All That You Are stamp set, tucked right inside the front cover of your brand new 2019 Spring Occasions catalog - and everything in that stamp set coordinates with the Frosted Bouquet Framelits Dies which carried forward along with the First Frost stamp set. I used all 3 in this design.
The flowers were stamped in the two blue colors; then "painted over" with a little Frost White Shimmer Paint; and finished off with a pearl.
I added the sprigs die cut from Sparkle Glimmer Paper; and a lovely Blueberry Bushel Bow.
Simple stamping using an image from First Frost to emulate the front of the card finishes the inside and leaves plenty of room for me to write my thank you messages.
We're getting ready to kick off a New Year, a New Season, and a New Catalog! I hope you're super-excited and ready to play with all the new goodies!!
Happy New Year to all - wishing everyone prosperity and blessings in 2019.
Until Next Time . . .
