Hello Fellow Stampers ~
You can tell we're working hard here at DDS Studios to get caught up and back on track for the new year!
You may also notice that we're starting to work a "refresh" on the DDS Logo and watermarks, buttons and signature block (which is still being tweeked), etc. You'll be seeing a new "paw print" look to a number of different items across the blog in the weeks to come. I'm excited about the new look and want to thank Nicole Watt of Integrant Services for her wonderful creative inspiration and help as we work through each of these elements in turn. It's important to me to keep the "Doggone Delightful Stampin' brand; at the same time I think as we turn 5 here at DDS Studios, that we update and have a more professional look. Stay tuned! We're having fun for sure!
We have not done a "CASE" from the SU! catalogs since last October, can you believe that?? Sheesh!! Today's card has actually been lying on my work table for 2 weeks now, and I'm excited to open the suit"case" with you today and share!
2019 Spring Occasions Catalog, Pg. 4
Today's CASE will be of the pretty little card in the upper left-hand corner of this picture. And is often the "case" for me - LOL - we will not do it "exactly" as seen; there will be some changes beginning with the size/shape. The SU! sample is a square card. Today's CASE will feature a regular 5-1/2" x 4-1/4" card size/shape. Let's get started!

"CASE-Out" Design Guide
1. Cut and score your Thick Whisper White cardstock for your card base as noted in the supplies list above.
2. Adhere the small heart design paper from the All My Love DSP (5-1/4" x 4") to the Lovely Lipstick cardstock (5-3/8" x 4-1/8"); adhere the 1" x 5-1/4" Soft Suede background with small flowers pattern DSP across the center; then adhere to the front of the card base.
3. Using the "corner" flower die from the Lovely Flowers Edgelits Dies, cut the corner of your 3-1/2" x 4" Whisper White cardstock; then using your Stampin' Trimmer to cut down to match the edge of the flower on each side and the rest of your piece to measure 3-1/4" x 2-1/4" (not including the flower) - see picture.
4. Align the corner pieces from the die set that cuts out the corner holes and do that on the remaining 3 sides of your finished piece.
5. Stamp the "Wishing You a Lovely Day" in the center of your die cut piece in Soft Suede - and IMMEDIATELY coat in Clear Embossing Powder and heat to set. [Tip: Have your embossing powder ready to go!]
6. Put some SNAIL in the center of the Soft Suede DSP strip on the front of the card, and adhere a piece of 1/8" Flirty Flamingo ribbon (from the All My Love Ribbon Combo pack) and loop it back and forth so there are 3 strips lying across the card front.
7. Pop the Whisper White die cut sentiment piece with dimensionals across the center over the ribbon.
8. Cut a flower and a small leaf spray from the designer series paper and adhere with a couple of glue dots in the top left corner of your Whisper White sentiment die cut piece.
9. Finish off with a few Heart Epoxy Droplets.

I will let everyone know that this particular die set is not for the faint of heart. This is not a "beginner's" die set! It is complicated, and although well worth the trouble, do not expect to just jump in and get an instant fabulous result! Give yourself lots of patience and time in experimenting with this edgelit die set!
I hope you have enjoyed today's CASE-Out! I'll be bringing more fun with this set in the near future!
Until Next Time . . .
