It's been a busy week, and I'm squeezing in as much Studio time as I can. I'm trying to get caught up because I have a cute sewing project I want to work on and since it's for Valentine's Day, I've got to get a move on!! LOL
Everyone should know that we're enjoying the new 2019 Spring Occasions Catalog, and this year's Sale-a-Bration season!! So much to love, so little time! LOL
Today, we're going to have a Sale-a-Bration product focus (or maybe two - LOL), with a set that is well worth the "$$" to earn! And for a minimum $150 order (US), you can get both products featured today!
This beautiful set of cards features the Lasting Lily stamp set; and also the Organdy Ribbon Combination Pack in the SAB catalog. You can earn the gorgeous Lasting Lily set with a $100 order; and the beautiful set of Organdy Ribbon, with another $50 in product.
I am also using the Gingham Gala Designer Series Paper to create this wonderful array of color-coordinated cards. What you'll love as we look at these closer today is how the Organdy Ribbon collection is coordinated with color series, as well as the adhesive-backed sequins that embellish each design. Let's walk through this set and talk about the stamp set a little bit more!
The first 3 cards I'm showcasing out of the set showcase a slightly different version of each card by varying how the sentiment is die cut and featured on the card.
Lasting Lily is a 2-step stamp set, and I used my Stamparatus to set up the flowers and the stems, and finally the large leaf on the larger Lily. By setting this up at the outset, I can stamp numerous cards and the images will always align in the same spots, making it easy and quick!
I used the Gingham Gala DSP colorway and followed it all the way thru - Lemon Lime Twist, Daffodil Delight, Balmy Blue, Grapefruit Grove, Highland Heather - with paper, ink and embellishments. I love the "Dist-Ink-tive" stamping to the Lily image - it's just gorgeous in every color!
The Stitched Labels Framelits are used throughout all these cards. I also embossed the background cardstock on each card with the Basket Weave Dynamic Textured Impressions Embossing Folder before attaching the 1-3/4" x 4-1/8" gingham strip.
Technique Tip: This is a photopolymer stamp set, so when using your Stamparatus, use your Stamp-n-Storage Magnetic Pad (use my Affiliate Link to order yours today!), your sponge pad and then a piece of liner paper before laying down your cardstock and holding it in place with the magnets. This will give you the 'layering' and support you need to get a good stamped image - be sure you press firmly all over the flower image to get a clear ink-up.
In all but this card, I thread the ribbon or twine through the cut-out holes on the ends of the die cuts and wrap that ribbon around the popped up panel, tying a ribbon to one side. On this card, I used the smaller die cut from the set, and so I set it at an angle and just added a simple bow. It's a fun and sweet look; a great way to mix things up a little with this card design.
This card uses the largest framelit from the die set, so I laid things out just a little bit differently, still using the same method of pulling the ribbon through the cutouts, and around the popped panel.
The variation here is showing a slightly different look by using the Old Olive Linen Twine instead of the Organdy Ribbon.
This stamp set is geared for Sympathy cards - which is wonderful since I tend to struggle to put together a good sympathy card, and keep them in stock. You'll also notice some other sentiments in this set, including the "thank you" I used which is perfect for thank you notes for a memorial gift; and a sweet sentiment as well for someone you love - the "I Adore You" card, which I just "adore"! LOL
You'll also notice that I used the gingham paper on the flaps of my envelopes so that the entire set is coordinated. And every card is finished off with the Gingham Gala Adhesive-backed Sequins that are also part of this color-coordinated suite of products. Stampin' Up! does this so well!! This would make a wonderful card set for a gift.
