Good Morning Fellow Stampers ~
We've been busy this weekend, and working to get caught up in the Studio. This coming Saturday is the big Annual Birthday Stamp-a-Stack, and so we're VERY busy getting ready for a full house and over 175 cards being put together all in one day!! LOL
Today I want to share a little project that I had intended on sharing before Valentine's Day; but hey, better late than never, right?? LOL
This little Tic Tac Gift Booklet can be given any time of year, and you can match up your cardstock and designer paper to match the little Tic Tac box inside -- so fun!! I do have to give credit, where credit is due. This adorable idea is inspired by Sam Hammond Douglas, a wonderful demonstrator out of the UK. Interestingly, Tic Tac boxes in the UK are smaller than here in the US. So I have modified her adorable little "gift booklet" to accommodate our larger size box!! Hopefully that means we have more Tic Tacs too!! LOL
These little "gift booklets" are really so easy to put together.
Here are the measurement details for you to get started:
Outside "booklet" cardstock piece: 2-7/8" x 4-3/4"
Score along the long edge @ 2" & 2-3/4"
Matching cardstock strip for inside: 7-3/4" x 3/4"
DSP pieces:
Front & back panels: 1-3/4" x 2-5/8" (x2)
Booklet Spine: 5/8" x 2-5/8"
Inside "holder" strip: 5/8" x 2-3/4"
Let's take a little closer look at the assembly.
The booklet is created with a 4-3/4" x 2-7/8" piece of cardstock (this one is Flirty Flaming)
Score along the long edge at 2" & 2-3/4"
Round your booklet corners with our wonderful Detailed Trio Punch
Use SNAIL to attach your DSP "panels" and "book spine strip" (see measurements above)
Be sure you round the corners of your front and back panel DSP first!!
Gently fold the 7-3/4" x 3/4" cardstock strip around your tic tac box - no need to score!!
Don't make the strip too tight around your box. You want it tight enough to hold the box; but loose enough for box to slide in and out.
Then use Tear & Tape to attach together on the back side where the piece overlaps.
Leave your tic tac box in place!! It will make it so much easier to do all of this part - including attaching inside your booklet!
Put strips of Tear & Tape down the finished back side of your strip.
On the front, attach your other 5/8" x 2-3/4" (note this is slightly different size than the booklet spine) DSP strip with SNAIL.
Remove the backing from the Tear & Tape and attach your tic tac box strip to the inside of the booklet (nicely centered and in place)!
Voila!!
Decorate the front as you would like - and tie it closed with a pretty little ribbon!
Again - tie tight enough to hold your little booklet closed - but not so tight that it can't be slid on and off!!
Aren't these just the cutest things?!?
I adore hearing from you - please leave your comments on today's posts!!
Until Next Time . . .
