Hello Fellow Stampers ~
Oh My Goodness!! I just feel like I'm so behind this week. I sure hope I can get a little rest this weekend!! It's been just too crazy these past 2 weeks! Whew!
As I said on Monday, we're kicking of Spring and the Easter season. And what better time to turn our eyes back to the Annual Catalog and some beautiful products -- today we're going to highlight and focus on the Graceful Glass 6" x 6" Specialty Designer Vellum paper, and along with it the Cross of Hope Framelits!
I really love the Graceful Glass Vellum and all the opportunities is presents for designing!
This is an easy way to incorporate the stained glass technique into your card making in a flash!
With the design already on the paper, all you have to do is add the color!
Then I put a piece of Whisper White cardstock behind it to help the colors pop (using glue dots strategically placed so they won't be seen from the front), and popped the entire piece with dimensionals on the card front - voila ! My church stained glass window!! How pretty! Makes me think of the churches I love where I'd sit and stare at the gorgeous stained glass windows all through the service -- LOL ;-)
I've been teaching my crafters all these past months about incorporating Vellum into their projects; and how much it adds to the look and feel of the design.
This paper makes it so incredibly easy; along with our Stampin' Blends. Because Vellum doesn't "breath" like cardstock, it can take longer for ink to dry.
Enter the Stampin' Blends!! The alcohol in the ink makes this technique fast and easy with no smearing because it dries so quickly!!
Color from the back side of the paper - and let it "glow" through the paper from the front when you look at it!! So fabulous! :-)
The beautiful His Grace Stamp Set is perfect for the Easter Season! Definitely a keeper for my collection!
The inside of this card is simple - and follows the message on the front of the card perfectly!
I chose the Gorgeous Grape background for its color of "royalty". The perfect backdrop for my cross - cut with the Cross of Hope Framelits.
I cut the larger "background" cross from Soft Suede cardstock to coordinate with the card base; and the smaller inset cross is cut from Champagne Foil.
The entire piece is finished off with the Artisan Pearls in various colors.
I hope you enjoyed today's "spotlight" project! And I hope my class will love playing with this project at our Easter class on Saturday!! Happy mid-week everyone!
Hugs -- Until Next Time . . .
