Hello Fabulous Fellow Stampers ~
Ha! A full week of posts!! Now there's an accomplishment!! LOL I hope to get more unpacking and organizing done over this coming weekend!
The closing on the house is Monday afternoon, and then that milestone will be behind us! It's kind of scary, and sad, and everything all at once!! This home was my very first home as a homeowner, and I was so proud of myself. I'm leaving it better than I got it; and it has lots of memories within those walls. I'm going to cry a little; and then hopefully I'll be ready to look forward to the new chapter in my life! Because I HAVE to get back to wedding planning!! LOL
So, how many of you, after seeing yesterday's post, really wanted to make that box that we CASE'd the card from yesterday?? Yes?! Me too!! LOL
So today we're going to just real quickly give you the directions on how to make that sweet little box to match your card!!
Cut your designer paper 5-1/2" x 11-1/2"
Score on the short edge first at 1" and 4-1/2"
Score along the long edge at 1", 5-1/2", 6-1/2" and 11"
Snip from each side at the 1", 5-1/2" and 6-1/2" score lines up to the vertical score line.
Snip away from each side to the score line at the 11" mark
(note above)
Technique Note: It helps to also cut some mitered pieces out at each snip point to ease the folding and gluing.
Let's take a clearer look at how this is done with a piece of Whisper White cardstock so you can see.
Put your box together with Tear & Tape (this is one seamless box; not a top and bottom if that makes sense. And it is one that you will want to put the gift in first before closing it up - the recipient will need to "tear" it open)
Now follow yesterday's directions to finish decorating your box
Wrap the box with the ribbon; place the Stitched Shape Oval as noted in the directions; and finish it off.
Now you have a perfectly matched set!!
Hope everyone has a fabulous weekend! And will give this easy project a try!
Hugs, . . .
