Hello Fellow Stampers ~
My goodness!! What a busy weekend it was! Off-Friday and all!! LOL DDS Studios had it's first class back in session on Saturday afternoon; and I am quite excited about that!! It's nice to be getting back to a "normal" schedule (whatever that is -- LOL) 🤣
This past weekend was my annual Halloween class -- and boy did we have some fun this year!! Today, I'm going to share that project with you, and just give you a few guides and tips. For those local who missed this class -- I'm so sorry you weren't here with us. We were a small group; but we had a blast!!

- Golden Glitz Delicata Metallic Ink (Item #150711)
- Stamping Sponges (Item #141337)
You'll Need a Hot Glue Gun; some Paper Snips; Multi-Purpose Glue; and your SNAIL or Tear-n-Tape.
Each lid to each coffin was sponged first with Craft ink (white); and then gone over again with the Golden Glitz Delicata Metallic Ink. There is no right or wrong to this; you want to achieve an "old" antique vintage look to your coffins.
Coffins are put together with Hot Glue (coffin base first; then lid). Tip: If your lid doesn't fit snug to your coffin, add a little Hot Glue on the inside before attaching it to the coffin base.
Some coffins had "texture" added to them for a wonderful "old world" look.
To do this - emboss a piece of Basic Black cardstock with the Stylish Scroll Embossing Folder. Take a spare "coffin lid" (you'll want another package to do this), and snip off all the edges/tabs, then use this as your "pattern." On the back side of your embossed Basic Black cardstock, draw around your coffin lid pattern with white gel pen. Cut INSIDE the line you've just drawn. "Distress" the front just like you did your coffin lids; then attach at random to a coffin top using either SNAIL or Tear-n-Tape.
When assembling your coffins to the wire wreath I recommend that you go about this in a process - it is easier this way.
First, attach your coffins together on their sides in pairs - using Hot Glue.
Once you have all your coffins paired up -- attach pairs together to create six sets of 4's -- (a total of 4 coffins in a set).
You can now start attaching to the wire wreath. Put Hot Glue on the edge of the wires (flat side, not rounded side), and attach a set of coffins, so the bottom edges just lap over the inside wire edge.
As you set the next set of 4, leave just a slight gap between the two sets (not readily noticeable when looked at). This will ensure that sets aren't put too closely together and you end up with a big "gap" when you set the final set (which is what happened to me - I figured this out too late -- LOL). That slight gap as you place each set of 4 coffins makes it come out fairly even at the end (just about perfect).
To finish off your wreath, go back around the outside edges with your Golden Glitz and sponge all the outer edges of the coffin bases to make sure you have that nice "vintage" look all the way around the outside edges.
Create your "label" by punching a "haunted mansion" from the DSP with the Starburst punch; cut two ornate frames with the dies from Basic Black; overlap them together with SNAIL to create a background for your punched "mansion" - then SNAIL that in place in the center. You will create 5 bows with tails; then layer them together in place with Hot Glue; and Hot Glue your label in the center of your created bow. You can also add "leaves" by punching several out of Basic Black cardstock with the Leaf Punch (or sponge Shimmer Detailed Laser-Cut Specialty Paper with Basic Black ink, and cut some leaves from there).
The final finishing touches include scattering Monster Bash Enamel Shapes, and some fun Googly Eyes.
And I added a die cut "Wicked" for some extra fun!!
This project is a little labor intensive, but so worth it!! And was so much fun!!! I hope you will give it a try. If you have questions, please feel free to contact me. Have a great Monday!! Let's get ready for Halloween!! Whoo hoooo👻👀
Hugs, . . .
