Still trying to play catch up around here. And still running to the dentist -- yuck!!! LOL And I've just about finished my Downton Abbey binge watching - ohp! I didn't tell you about that one did I! LOL We'll save that story for later!
Today I'm stepping away for just a brief moment from Halloween fun to play with a fabulous stamp set that I don't want anyone to overlook - because it has sooo much potential!!
This stamp set follows others we've had in recent years, such as Waterfront in the Annual Catalog (pg. 125). Snow Front is a 2-Step stamp set allowing you to easily layer color, landscape, and foliage to your trees. This set may be called "Snow Front" ~ but we're going to explore how wonderful it is beyond the season of Winter.
I have three different cards here; each is a different size, and represents a different season. We'll take a brief look at each!
This is our Autumn design; using paper from the Come to Gather DSP (I really like this linen dotted design) for a background (matted in Crushed Curry) on a 5-1/2" x 8-1/2", scored at 4-1/4" Whisper White card base. The Stitched Label die creates a lovely background on which I stamped the smaller trees in Crumb Cake ink, and the "leaves" in Crushed Curry and Pumpkin Pie. The larger tree is stamped on a separate piece of cardstock, with the leaves stamped in Cajun Craze - and the piece is fussy cut out and popped up with dimensionals. Some Linen Thread wraps the layers; and Vellum makes a lovely backdrop for the Champagne Foil die cut "thanks".
This design is the Spring version.
The tree is stamped this time in Soft Suede, and a combination of Mango Melody and Blushing Bride for the "blooms" in the tree.
The piece is cut using the 2nd largest Stitched Nested Label dies; and popped on the front of this 3-1/2" x 5" Whisper White notecard.
And I'll finish off with a proper Winter card.
This card is cut 5" x 10", scored at 5" - to make a 5" x 5" square card.
The background paper is cut from Feels Like Frost Specialty DSP.
The center feature panel is Shimmery White cardstock cut 4" x 4".
I stamped the background images using Gray Granite ink.
And the "pop" trees in the front are Night of Navy and Balmy Blue - all fussy cut.
I added Shimmery Crystal Effects to the trees for lots of shimmer; some wonderful pearls.
And the sentiment is stamped in Versamark and embossed in Shimmer White Emboss Powder - for a card that just screams "snow" -- LOL
As you can see - this stamp set is so versatile; and with the 2-stamp stamping ability, there are so many effects you can create. You'll definitely want this set in your repertoire! Talk to you soon!!!
Hugs, . . .
