The Free As a Bird set is definitely one of my favorites in the Annual Catalog.

This sweet set is perfect for some coloring fun if you are in the mood -- and can just as easily be left in a "clean stamped" format.
And these "Nested Label" dies are absolutely the best - I love the shape and the faux stitching around the edges. As you can see, they are big enough to cut around the largest image; and small enough to grab a simple sentiment.
This set is part of the Bird Ballad Suite (pages 90-91 in your Annual Catalog).
Not only is there a wonderful set of designer paper in this suite; there is also this gorgeous set of Laser-cut Cards that come in an even prettier tin --
As you can see from the sample, I simply made a "liner" for behind the front flap of this gorgeous laser-cutout of Balmy Blue cardstock. Pick any color you want to peek through these pretty designs!
The little birds on a branch image from the stamp set is stamped in Staz-On Jet Black ink on Shimmery White cardstock.
I then pulled out my watercolor pencils and just had a wonderful relaxing 20 minutes making my pretty little flock ready to fly to a sweet friend. Note that I used a Blender Pen, not water to move any color on these images - and the Blender Pen only "lightly."
The finished image is cut with the 2nd largest Stitched Nested Labels Dies; then popped with dimensionals over a piece of 1/4" Seaside Spray Metallic Ribbon, and finished off with some pretty 2019-2021 In Color Faceted Dots in Seaside Spray as well.
It's easy to finish off a card with this stamp set -- some truly wonderful sentiments in this set; and I'm excited to send this card. I think it will be a real treat in someone's mailbox.
You'll notice I finished off my leaves and flowers with the watercolor pencils on the inside of this card design.
