Good Morning Fellow Stampers ~
I can't believe that it is already the 2nd Wednesday in November!! Time to celebrate with the Stampin' Pretty Pals!! We’re so glad you’re here because we made some great projects for “Layer It Up” - showcasing our favorite Designer Series Paper and embellishments. You may be starting the hop here or coming you may be coming from Su Mohr at Aromas And Art. Either way, you’ve come to the right place. When you're done perusing today's project, you’ll find the the full line-up below to help you move or “hop” along your way from Pal-to-Pal.
Choosing a favorite designer paper this season is difficult for me, because we have so many fabulous papers. I have settled on showcasing the brand new Christmastime Is Here Specialty Designer Series Paper - this is some truly GORGEOUS paper -- and is part of the new Christmas Is Here suite/bundle, being offered during the month of November Only!!
Not easily seen in this photo - the main images showcase Gold Foil interwoven into the images and designs. Just elegant and beautiful!
Today's card is cut from Thick Whisper White cardstock for the base; but I did a complete frontal overlay - so you would never know 😉
A background mat layer in Gold Foil - measuring 5-1/2" x 4-1/4"
Then the inner layers are Cherry Cobbler measuring 4" x 5-1/4"; and then the gorgeous Designer Paper measuring 3-7/8" x 5-1/8".
Here's the twist -- that other pretty color in the roses of the paper is actually Poppy Parade - so the top two layers are wrapped in 1/2" Poppy Parade Textured Weave Ribbon (found in the Annual Catalog) with a beautiful bow, before being SNAIL'd to the card front. With the Gold Foil edge all the way around, it pulls the Gold Foil accents through the designer paper out and creates a beautiful elegant card.
The sentiment is pulled from the Merry Christmas to All stamp set (also found in the Annual Catalog); stamped in the new Delicata Golden Glitz Metallic Ink. And then -- for a burnished metallic vintage look, I sponged the edges of the cut out oval with the same ink -- now there's a beautiful look! A scalloped oval in Gold Foil to finish it off, layered behind the cut out sentiment. And now here is a wonderful way to finish it all off . . .
Those gorgeous Gold Foil scrollworks on either end of the oval are cut using a die from the new Roses Dies in the Christmastime Is Here Again bundle -- attached with a little Fine-Tip Glue to either end, it makes for the perfect vintage look.
And the entire piece completed with the new Gold Glitter Enamel Dots from that same suite!!
You don't want to miss this beautiful collection of products -- for the month of November Only!!! (or while supplies last)
The inside of the card was layered to emulate the front; and stamped with images from the Christmas Rose stamp set.
I hope you had fun with me today - and that you won't pass up this beautiful set of products!! Click on the product carousel below to Shop With Me and get your Christmastime Is Here suite products before they are gone!!
