In the spotlight this week, a new series as we take a closer look at the fabulous 2020 Spring Mini Catalog . . . one product suite at a time.  And following along with my Valentine focus this past week, let's meet the From My Heart Suite up close and personal!!  😍😍  And we'll take a look at a couple of fun designs to go with it!!

These card designs showcase a number of products from our fabulous Feature Suite - and a few things I "snuck in" so you wouldn't forget about them!!  LOL

Let's take a little look!!

 

The add-on Heart To Heart Bundle was used to create this fabulous card!

And those items I snuck in??

The Meant to Be cling stamp set [Item 148626] and the coordinating Stitched Be Mine Dies [Item 148527] are a fabulous coordination for this Valentine's card!  You can find these wonderful products in the Annual Catalog !

Using the Detailed Hearts Die, this scattered-looking background can be cut in one pass of your die-cutting machine (use your Precision Base Plates on your Big Shot sandwich to ensure a clean cut); and then carefully glue to the Whisper White background using strategically placed Fine-Tip Glue.

Then use a small section of the same die to cut out pieces using the foil designs from the From My Heart Specialty Designer Series Paper.  Then pop a number of the cut-out hearts using dimensionals in matching places across the background.  So cute!

 

This pretty card uses the Eyelet Lace Embossing Folder on a Whisper White background.

Then I layered a Flirty Flamingo Heart Doily, and used the fabulous Heart Punches with the coordinating From My Heart Specialty Designer Series Paper to create a "heart montage" - LOL.

 

FROM MY HEART SPECIALTY DSP DETAILS: From My Heart Specialty Designer Series Paper features playful patterns with red and pink foil accents scattered throughout the designs.  Some images match and can be punched out with the Heart Punch Pack.  Hearts and Stripes create a wonderful collection of paper designs.

GOLDEN HONEY SPECIALTY DESIGNER SERIES PAPER

Item 152311| FREE w/$50 Purch.

The "specialty" of this collection of paper is the Gold Foil accents throughout.  The flip side of the design has a wonderful black & white images that you can color and play with; or just leave "as is."

 

I picked 4 "pop" accents colors to sit against a Basic Black 4-1/4" x 11" (score at 5-1/2") card base.

The colors are Highland Heather, Granny Apple Green, Coastal Cabana, and Poppy Parade.

 

I used the Layering Circle Dies (the one closest to 2" diameter) to cut a circle out of the designer paper of choice; and then a scallop circle next size up from the accent color to layer behind the cut out circle. Then I pulled out a "softer" Stampin' Blend color to color the cutout circle of DSP.  So, for example, in this case, I colored the entire cutout circle with a Light Purple Posey Stampin' Blend marker; then I came back in and colored the little flowers with a Light Highland Heather Stampin' Blend, and the little stripes in the bees with a Dark Daffodil Delight Stampin' Blend.  It makes that one piece of the DSP "pop" from the rest of the background.  Fun!!

The main piece of DSP is then SNAIL'd to the accent background mat, wrapped in a coordinating ribbon, and then to the card front; and then I popped the layered circle over the cutout opening using dimensionals.  It's just that easy!!

 

I stamped the bees on Shimmery White cardstock, colored the little stripes in their bodies, and added Clear Wink of Stella to their wings.  These little guys just "shimmer"!!  They are popped with dimensionals on the popped circle.  All of the sentiments you see on these card designs are stamped and "fussy cut" in some fashion, except for this Granny Apple Green card.  I punched this sentiment out with the 1-1/8" Scallop Circle Punch.

A pretty bow; and some coordinating Glitter Enamel Dots, and these sweet little cards are set to go!!

 

This one got the Champagne Rhinestone treatment -- LOL 😉

The Stampin' Blend used on the background of the circle is Light Calypso Coral.

Mix-It Up Mondays ~~ From My Heart Shadow Box

Hello Fellow Stampers ~

Wow!  What a fun weekend!!  Kind of busy; kind of fun!!  LOL  I held my Annual Valentine Class this weekend; and I have to tell you, I was just so excited about it.  I think this is my favorite class I give each year!!  I've been so busy in the Studio, and I have so many "valentiney" things I still want to throw together.  Too many ideas; not enough time!!!  LOL  Just ask the ladies!!  We had a blast!!

 

And now it's time for me to share some of the goodies with all of you!!!  I also have new items that the class didn't get to see this past weekend; so I'll be sharing those as well going forward.  Stay tuned for all the fun!!

 

Today I'm kicking off with this sweet little 6" x 6" framed shadow box!!  I love to make something that can be displayed on a counter, mantel, desk, shelf . . . any placed you'd like to have it!  And these shadow boxes are so fabulous for displaying!  I get them at Michael's, usually on sale, and with an additional coupon on top of it.  So it ends up being pretty affordable!

 

This sweet and simple little project displays our new From My Heart Specialty Designer Series Paper beautifully! [watch out for the "glare" in the picture; just always have trouble taking pics when we've got something shiny like glass involved! LOL]

Pick the one you love the most.  I'll walk you through what I chose and the in's and out's of this little project!

 

The "matted" background is a full 6" x 6".  I chose the "candy stripe" for this.  In addition, I cut a 6" x 6" piece of the white cardboard that comes in our paper packages and adhered it to the back of the DSP to give it thickness and stability.

Then the centered DSP print (cute hearts!!) is cut 5-1/2" x 5-1/2".  And for this one, I cut a piece of the thicker "chipboard" that came in the back of this Specialty DSP package the same size and adhered the paper to that - again for stability; but also to create some dimension!  Remember, this is a shadow box, and we're "popping" things up a little bit.

When you've done all that you can center the "hearts" DSP pattern to the center for the "candy stripe".

 

Next is creating the focal point.  I used our Stitched Shape Dies (the largest square); and coordinated it against the Layering Squares Dies (using the scallop square to frame out the stitched square); both in Whisper White.  Layer the two together and pop them up in the center of the layered DSP using dimensionals.

Next, I stamped the little heart image surrounded by "petals" (for lack of a better explanation - LOL) from the Heartfelt stamp set, using Flirty Flamingo classic ink on one of the new Flirty Flamingo Heart Doilies all over to create a "monotone" background.

Then I popped that with dimensionals in the center of the Whisper White squares.

I finished this all off by 1) using a Flirty Flamingo Stampin' Write marker to ink up just the "Love" in the "Love You Lots" sentiment, stamping it on Whisper White cardstock scrap, and fussy cutting it out; use glue dots to attach to the lower right-hand side of the heart doily; 2) snagging a charm of your choice (this pretty one is also from Michael's), tying some 1/4" Whisper White Crinkled Seam Binding Ribbon through it, finish with a bow, and attach to the center of your heart doily (LOTS of glue dots -- LOL).

Cute! Cute! Cute!  And it already sits in a place of honor in my Studio area!

I really do love everything about this current catalog; and so, as usual, it's very hard for me to choose just one or two "favorites."  So I'm going to give you three of my TOP picks - and you can just assume that you should get ALL the others too!!  LOL  😉

 

 

The entire Parisian Blossoms Suite is just stunning!  I picked Parisian Beauty out of the two bundles because I LOVE the die cut words and I think having the Eiffel Tower to put on our projects is just so much fun!!  The delicate swirl die cut is to die for!!

I knew the minute I saw the Tropical Oasis Suite that it was going to be a "must have" for me.  I LOVE Hawaii, the Caribbean ~ anything that has that tropical polynesian feel to it.  And I know my honey is going to love anything I make with this set too.

The Timeless Tropical Bundle includes the Timeless Tropical Stamp Set and the In the Tropics Dies.

 

I cannot even begin to tell you the "squeal" I let out at OnStage last November when I saw this set!!!

For a Colorado Girl ~~  this is like THE Ultimate Set!!  I am so excited -- and am just itching to start inking & playing . . . just as soon as I get through Valentine's designing -- LOL

I adore fun "wittycisms" and the ability to just "joke" & smile with our cards.

We don't always need to be so serious, right?  So this sentiment set is perfect to make a friend giggle or just bring a smile to someone having a not so good day.  This was a "must have" for me - and I love that it coordinates with the Young at Heart stamp set in the Annual Catalog (another of my favorites).

 

 

So that seques us perfectly into this adorable set that really IS called "Witty-Cisms."  Cute and adorable is how I'd categorize this stamp set.  And again, was showcased to us in November last year!!  This adorable set can create so many cute little card ideas!!

Break out the champagne! Champagne Rhinestone Basic Jewels, that is!!  Is anyone surprised that this is a Top Pick for me?!?  LOL

Tie it around cards, add it to tags, or use it for treat packaging. You can also dye this ribbon, or "stamp color" to customize the color for any project using our Classic Stampin’ Ink Refills or Stampin’ Blends (sold separately). 10 yards

Those who have seen my Blog Post earlier this week know I'm ALL OVER these gorgeous gemstones!!  And oh, how they sparkle!!

Faceted, iridescent gems.  Approximately 180 pieces in 3 colors and 3 sizes.  3mm, 4mm, 6mm.  Flirty Flamingo, Real Red, White.  Just use your Fine-Tip Glue Pen and the Take Your Pick Tool for easy addition to your projects and designs.

 

 

I LOVE punches, and always get them all.  For the ease of use, punches cannot be beat!!  And SU! definitely has some of the best!

Although this punch comes in a bundle (be sure to Grab that!!), you can also create your own fabulous umbrellas by punching from your favorite designer series paper!!
