Hello Fellow Stampers ~
Oh My!! I had a pretty "frantic" 3-day weekend; so much so that I more or less "collapsed" on Sunday I was so tired -- LOOL. And Monday has taken off at a sharp clip, and isn't slowing down!! Yikes! [I still greatly dislike Mondays -- LOL].
We had a fantastic Birthday Stamp-a-Stack on Saturday!! And everyone did a fantastic job and took home 25 beautiful cards to beef up their stashes and help get them through the year! But in the process of getting ready for Saturday's class, I missed getting my Free PDF Friday post up -- so look for a "late" Friday post sometime later today!! (And don't get confused -- LOL) 😁😁
In the meantime, I'm kicking off my next "obsession" this week -- with the Parisian Blossoms Suite of products! This was one of my Top Picks from "My Favorite Things" list in the 2020 Spring Mini Catalog. (click on the highlighted link to see what my other top picks are!). I don't know if it's the designer paper, the cherry blossoms, or the overall "French" theme, with the "vintage" pieces ~~ whatever it is, I ADORE this suite of products; and sitting down and playing with the "pieces and parts" has just cemented that for me even more.
Today's "mix-it up" offering is a "fancy fold" or "fun fold" - whichever way you prefer to refer to it. This is a Diagonal Fold Card, featuring some of the gorgeous designer paper as a backdrop with all the gorgeous Champagne Foil accents, and glimmer!
This is a fairly easy card to cut and create; I will put up a "Class With Wendy" video tutorial later this week to walk you through it so you can make your very own Elegant, Stunning "Always & Forever" card.
On the front, I have used our Layering Oval Dies to create the background for the central focal point - which is all about the Forever Blossoms Bundle - using both the stamps and the coordinated Cherry Blossoms Dies. Laid against the background of the Pool Party/Petal Pink/Champagne Foil designer series paper background - it just feels so elegant and beautiful! As always -- pictures don't do the card justice!!
I stamped the flowers in Memento Tuxedo Black in, and colored them with Petal Pink Stampin' Blends.
The leaves are in Pear Pizzazz; and the buds were actually stamped in Gray Granite ink before I added the Petal Pink color.
Although the branch, leaves and buds are laid "flat"; the buds are actually popped with mini-dimensionals.
I fussy cut the sentiment - sometimes this is better and gives a far better result to the card design! Don't be "scared" to fussy cut your sentiments.
Everything is finished off with Clear Wink of Stella on the flower petals, Champagne Rhinestone Jewels, and a gorgeous 1/4" Petal Pink Metallic-Edged Bow.
The inside is all set for a sentiment to be added later; or to write a note to the recipient.
I wanted to leave this blank for now because the front sentiment would work well for a Wedding, Anniversary, or even a special note to your spouse! So until I decide where the card is going, sometimes it's best to leave it blank!!
Keep an eye out for the video later this week . . . and . . .
Happy Monday!!
and
Happy creating everyone!!
